TENNIS aces are being told not to feed MICE in their hotel rooms — in the latest twist of the Aussie Open’s quarantine chaos.

World No 28 Yulia Putintseva was forced to change rooms after spotting a mouse.

And she then took to social media to document more of the rodents.

Victoria state police minister Lisa Neville encouraged players to “minimise interaction” with mice.

She added: “As I understand, there may have been some feeding going on.

“We’ll keep doing pest control if needed but hopefully work this week will have fixed the problem.”

Putintseva is one of 72 tennis players self-isolating for 14 days in hotel rooms after positive Covid tests on their flights.

The Kazakh tweeted: “It’s actually a lot of them, not one in my room now! Different room, same story — wanted to go to sleep but noooope!”

Putintseva, who also hit out at a lack of fresh air in the hotel, tagged Aussie Rennae Stubbs on Twitter after the former doubles ace had told players to quit complaining.

Three more people associated with the event tested positive yesterday, to bring the total to ten.

Novak Djokovic rejected claims players are “selfish” or “ungrateful” for complaining.

The world No 1 — in much better conditions 450 miles away in Adelaide — said: “I earned my privileges the hard way and it is difficult to be a mere onlooker knowing how much every help, gesture and good word mattered when I was small and insignificant in the world pecking order.”
