WWE chief Stephanie McMahon reveals UK could see WrestleMania, SummerSlam or Royal Rumble in future

Wrestling chief discusses the possibility of a major pay-per-view being held on these shores

STEPHANIE MCMAHON has opened the door to a future WrestleMania or SummerSlam being held in the UK.

The daughter of WWE owner Vince McMahon is now one of the top chiefs alongside her husband Paul Levesque, otherwise known as former world champion Triple H.

WWE have been travelling around the UK over the past fortnight with both of their flagship weekly shows, Raw and SmackDown, taking place at the O2.

And during her time in London, she discussed the possibility of bringing a major pay-per-view back to these shores.

Speaking to the , she responded to that question by saying: “WWE always listens to our fanbase.

“The UK fans are pretty loud, pretty rowdy in a great way, and you know we are constantly evaluating that.

“Personally I would love to see it.

“I know it would be incredible.”

The last major WWE event to be held in the UK came 25 years ago when SummerSlam was held at Wembley Stadium in August 1992.

A number of superstars have been vocal in the past about their desire to wrestle at a PPV in England.

During their 2015 tour of the UK, superstar John Cena took the mic after a show at Wembley Arena to reveal his wish to see WrestleMania come to London.
