Daily Spread Betting Round-up
There were plenty of big winning bets from the weekend’s online betting action and we have scanned through the results to find three bets where our spread betting punters came out on top.
Hostilities were resumed in the North East yesterday as Newcastle made the short trip south to face Sunderland at the Stadium Of Light. With the Mackems enjoying a superb return to life in the Premier League and with just one point separating the two sides in the league before kick-off, it was always likely to be a hotly contested affair.
In a feisty game with plenty of big challenges, Tim Woltemade’s own goal was the difference as Regis Le Bris’ side climbed to within two points of the top six. During the latter stages, both sides became embroiled in bouts of pushing and shoving as well as a couple of fruity late challenges.
It all added to the spectacle for the neutral and for buyers on our Cross-Bookings market, it was a great day indeed. Before the match, the spread was 840-960, but with 50 Sunderland booking points and 40 Newcastle booking points, the spread settled at 2000 with buyers booking a win of 1040x their stake.
Since 2020, Dimitri Van Den Bergh has been a fixture in the latter stages of major tournaments on the PDC Tour, but it all went wrong for him on Sunday evening as he lost in dreadful fashion against Darren Beveridge.
The year started with a run to the semi-final of the revamped World Masters, but a break away from the sport due to off-oche issues has put his status as a Tour Card holder in danger for 2027 and beyond.
With the greatest respect for Darren Beveridge, who secured the biggest win of his career when beating the Dreammaker 3-0 last night, the fact that Van Den Bergh wasn’t the pre-match favourite shows how far he has fallen.
The world number 23 missed 16 of 17 doubles last night and Beveridge took full advantage with Van Den Bergh managing to get just one leg on the board as he cut a lonely figure on stage. Before the match, you could trade Van Den Bergh Total Legs at 8.5-8.9 as sellers checked out with a win of 7.5x their stake.
The December Gold Cup is one of the jumping highlights this side of Christmas and it was a special renewal at the weekend with the race dedicated to the Hunt Family Fund.
Seven different trainers had saddled the winner in the last seven years and the expectations were that Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero would make that eight out of eight on Saturday with their charge Jagwar sent off as the favourite.
A winner over course and distance at the Cheltenham Festival back in March, Jagwar was only good enough for third with the race taken by the unheralded Glengouly. As they went to post, you could trade Glengouly’s Race Index spread at 1-3, but with Sean Bowen riding out for the win, the spread settled at 50 as buyers won 47x their stake.
