Formula 1 Season Finale 2025 Betting Preview

head

The 2025 F1 season is coming to a dramatic conclusion, with three contenders still in the hunt for the Drivers’ Championship. Here at Spreadex, we’ve got all the action covered, with markets for both fixed odds and spread betting for all the remaining twists and turns the F1 season has to offer. Read on below for the Spreadex Sports betting preview, with key information, statistics and betting odds.

How many races are left on the calendar?

There are just three Grand Prix remaining, plus one Sprint race. This week, the drivers head to the USA for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, before going to Qatar, which is a Sprint weekend, and then Abu Dhabi for the final race of the year. See the full remaining schedule below.

What are the current standings?

Lando Norris leads the race for the Drivers’ Championship, with 390 points after winning the Mexican and Brazilian Grand Prix back-to-back. McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri, who led for much of the season, is second with 366 points and Red Bull’s four-times reigning champion Max Verstappen is third on 341 points. Mercedes’ George Russell is 4th on 276 points, with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton 5th and 6th on 214 and 148 points respectively.

Who can still win the Drivers’ Championship?

Three drivers are still in contention for the Drivers’ Championship: Norris, Piastri and Verstappen. There is a grand total of 83 points still to play for across the three races and the Qatar Sprint, so only Piastri and Verstappen are close enough to close the gap on Norris, with 4th placed George Russell over 100 points behind the leader.

Norris’ 24-point means he can guarantee victory by finishing at least second in all four remaining sessions even if his rivals win. He could have the Championship wrapped up after the Qatar Sprint if results go his way.

Who is the favourite?

The Spreadex outright market has Norris as the clear favourite. The McLaren man currently sits at 1/7 to be crowned champion, with his 24-point lead looking close to unassailable. His teammate Piastri can be backed at 6/1, whilst Dutchman Verstappen sits at 14/1 to win a fifth straight Drivers’ Championship.

We also offer spread betting markets like our Drivers’ Championship Index. This market makes up at 60 points for the winner, 40 for the runner up, 30 for 3rd, 20 for 4th, 10 for 5th and 0 for all other finishers. Norris has the highest spread here at 55-57. Piastri and Verstappen have spreads of 38.5-40.5 and 33.5-35.5 respectively, whilst Lewis Hamilton’s sits at 3.75-4.75.

We also offer markets for both fixed odds and spread betting on each individual Grand Prix. Prices for this weekend’s race in Vegas are live now, whilst prices for the final two weekends of the season will be released closer to the race dates.

Verstappen currently has the shortest odds to go fastest in qualifying, priced at 2/1 to be P1 come Sunday. McLaren have struggled on Vegas’ long straights in the past so Norris is just behind at 12/5, with Piastri something of a long shot at 8/1.

You can also bet on the winner of Sunday’s Grand Prix. Verstappen is again the favourite here, at 13/8. Brits Norris and Russell also have short odds at 9/4 and 9/2, whilst Lewis Hamilton is 22/1 to win what would be his first Grand Prix of the 2025 season.

What about the Constructors’ Championship?

Whilst the Drivers' Championship is going to go down to the wire in 2025, the Constructors' Championship has been wrapped up for some time. Dominant displays from Norris and Piastri give McLaren a grand total of 756 points, almost double the 398 of Mercedes in second place.  Red Bull Racing and Ferrari are similarly in arrears, with 366 and 362 points respectively.

When will the remaining races take place?

21st – 23rd November – Las Vegas Grand Prix.
28th – 30th November – Qatar Grand Prix & Sprint Race.
5th – 7th December – Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The season ends after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with new Drivers’ and Constructors’ Champions set to be crowned.

How does scoring in F1 work?

The top 10 placed drivers in each Grand Prix score points according to the following format:

  • 1st place – 25 points
  • 2nd place – 18 points
  • 3rd place – 15 points
  • 4th place – 12 points
  • 5th place – 10 points
  • 6th place - 8 points
  • 7th place - 6 points

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit so it's important you understand how each market works before setting an appropriate stake size for your bet.

Please note that this preview is not designed to offer any betting advice or suggestions. All prices quoted correct as of 10am 20th November. Price Boosts and other markets will be added closer to kick-off time.
