Tech colossus prepares to unleash a pair of must-have mobiles which will directly compete with Apple's all-conquering iPhones

Google is preparing to unleash a pair of smartphones called the Pixel and Pixel XL
The mobiles will actually be made by HTC, but will be stuffed full of Googly goodness in the form of Android Nougat 4.1 - the search engine's latest software.
The Carphone Warehouse made a bit of a slip and accidentally released picture and details of the new phones.
The Pixel will feature a 5-inch full HD display, while the Pixel XL will reportedly use a 5.5-inch Quad HD displa
They will offer either 32GB or 128GB of storage, AMOLED screens, a fingerprint scanner and super speedy USB C charging.
It is believed handsets will use the same Qualcomm's 821 processor chip, found in most current Android flagship smartphones, as well as 4 GB of RAM.
Other rumours have included that the phone will not be waterproof and have a starting price of $649 which is around £500.
