APPLE'S Worldwide Developers Conference has ended and consumers were introduced to Apple Intelligence and iOS 18 - but users have mixed feelings.
Apple CEO Tim Cook kicked off the event with a keynote address and handed the reigns over to many speakers to share all the new features and improvements coming soon to users.
Apple Intelligence - the iPhone maker's new AI model - is capable of a whole host of actions, from proofreading text to making Siri smarter and more like ChatGPT.
But it's also able to generate new and original cartoon-style images of your friends using images you already have of them on your phone.
Besides a plethora of Apple Intelligence features the company released its big iOS 18 update.
Some of the features coming with the update include locking or hiding apps so someone using your phone can't access them.
Apple consumers have mixed feelings about the new AI and iOS 18 with one on X, formerly known as Twitter, "Apple, can I disable this AI nonsense? Don’t want any of it."
"Truly amazed by #Apple‘s new AI and OS features," another.

In October last year, Apple made the surprise bulletin that RCS support would be coming to iPhones sometime in 2024.
It will essentially make iPhone-to-Android texting much more like iPhone-to-iPhone texting via iMessage.
