THOUSANDS of users are unable to access ChatGPT following a major outage at OpenAI.
DownDetector reports in the US and UK show users are experiencing difficulty accessing the ChatGPT and Sora apps.
Reports began coming in on Monday morning.

- At its peak, nearly 500 users in the UK – and more than 1,500 in the US – submitted reports to Downdetector, which monitors outages.
- The majority of the reports – 99% – were connected to ChatGPT.
- OpenAI is now investigating the issue.
- Reports have dropped to just more than 100 in the UK, which would indicate the problem is resolved or is close to being resolved.
