Snapchat issues update to make your ‘Memories’ a little bit prettier
Photo app wants people to re-post old images and has made a little tweak to encourage users to share their saved images

SNAPCHAT wants to get people sharing their "memories" again.
They realised that no one was republishing their old, saved Snaps because when they did, a whacking great big white border would show up and distort the picture.
It was enough to turn Snapchatters off - and therefore had to be fixed.
Previously, if you shared a photo from Memories that was more than 24 hours old, a white border would appear.
Now the image-sharing app has culled the border entirely, hoping that more people will re-post those drunken selfies from the night before.

But there is a catch.
If you're using photos from your own camera roll, rather than the native Snapchat camera, the app will still put a border on it.
TechCrunch suggests this might be a way to get more people using .
The tech company is keen to be more than just an app after floating on the stock market.
Evan Speigel, the 26-year-old co-founder of Snapchat, recently became a billionaire thanks to the public offering.
The tech supremo is now reportedly worth $4.05 billion (£3.3 billion) after scoring a large chunk of Snap, the company he launched just five years ago.
