The messaging app is preparing to unleash another app that's aimed at businesses. But will ordinary people want to use it?
WHATSAPP is preparing to unleash a second app that's designed to help people earn loads of dosh.
The new app is called WhatsApp Business and is currently being tested out before its official launch date, which is yet to be announced.
It is aimed at companies and will allow customers to get in touch via the app.
"WhatsApp Business enables you to have a business presence on WhatsApp, communicate more efficiently with your customers, and help you grow your business," WhatsApp wrote.
"If you have separate business and personal phone numbers, you can have both WhatsApp Business and WhatsApp Messenger installed on the same phone, and register them with different numbers."
The app is currently in testing mode, but a page on Google Play is already offering it for download.
It's a standalone app, meaning you could use the ordinary version for play and the new one for work.
If you're an ordinary punter (or someone whose business gets a lot of complaints) you might not be that excited by the new app.
The most in-demand feature right now is the ability to "un-send" embarrassing texts.
WhatsApp is rumoured to be working on an update which will allow users to "recall" cringeworthy missives and save themselves from getting egg on their reddening face.
Sadly, despite rumours about the unsend feature, it never seems to materialise.
