Ikea’s first-ever range of Bluetooth speakers start from just £45
The speakers are designed to fit comfortably inside Ikea's storage units and you can also take them with you thanks to a separate battery pack

IKEA is venturing into audio hardware with the release of a cheap and cheerful range of Bluetooth speakers that start from just £45.
That's how much the smaller baby boomer in the furniture seller's new collection will set you back.
The square-shaped device measures just 20 x 20 cm and touts a handle that lets you pick it up and place it anywhere in the home.
Then just pair it with your Bluetooth-connected smartphone or computer and start blaring out the tunes.
Ikea has gone with mixed mono speakers, with the smaller Eneby packing a 1 x 3.2-inch woofer and 1 x 1-inch tweeter.
Meanwhile, a separately sold £15 battery pack transforms it into a portable device that you can take with you.
A (30 x 30 cm) will cost you £80.
For the extra dough you'll get a more substantial 2 x 4-inch woofer and the same tweeter set-up.
The affordable price makes sense for what are basic Bluetooth speakers without access to Wi-Fi-controlled streaming, such as Spotify Connect and Apple Airplay.
Both speakers have been designed to sit snugly in Ikea's Kallax or Eket storage units, but you can also wall mount them or stick them on a stand (both sold separately).
And you can remove their mesh fabric front and leave their audio parts exposed for a more minimal look.
Both speakers come in grey, white, and black.
“The new ENEBY range is incredibly exciting for us," said Evanthia Nikoglou, Sales Leader for Lighting and Electronics at Ikea UK and Ireland.
"Sound, just like light, is an important part of creating atmosphere within the home. It is able to bring a space to life and give it soul which is why we’ve turned our attention to sound and created IKEA’s first ever speakers.”

Ikea has been taking strides into tech gadgets and gizmos of late, first with the release of a set of smart light bulbs last April, followed with the launch of its augmented reality Places app in December, which lets users preview how their furniture will look at home.
The flat-pack flogger also revealed last year that it was working on audio products with smart speaker manufacturer Sonos.
The announcement set off rumours that the company was planning its own Amazon Echo rival, although there hasn't been any news since.
