'FORTNITE IS DYING'

Streamer Ninja resorts to desperate measures to stop Fortnite ‘negativity’

FORTNITE celebrity streamer Ninja is resorting to desperate measures to stem the flow of negativity about Epic Games' Battle Royale title during his streams.

He has instructed the chat room monitors to immediately ban ANYONE who suggests Fortnite is 'dying' or 'dead'.

Tyler 'Ninja' Blevins has a close relationship with developer Epic Games, going from being one of the reasons the game became an international mega-hit to effectively becoming part of the public relations machinery for the game.

He posed up with Samsung phones for the game's Android launch, hypes up their upcoming content releases, and takes home cash from their tournaments.

Explaining the reason for the bans, Ninja said: “Little kids spreading toxicity because they think it’s the cool thing to do,” he continued.

“If you wanna stop playing Fortnite, because you’re not having fun with it anymore, good. Go watch someone else, go play another game, don’t spread that toxicity and your negative opinion in my chat,” he continued.

The game recently reported its most popular month ever, with the summer school holidays and its launch on Android phones.

But it's received a mote of criticism as well, from security experts, pro gamers, parents.

It also faces a threat from other games as they catch up. Call of Duty: Black Ops IV's Blackout mode has been touted as a "Fortnite killer" by some players, streamers and pros who participated in the recent beta test.
