Fortnite Season 7 start date and theme predictions revealed – is THIS the theme for the game’s next big update?

IF you're already excited for Fortnite Season 7 then we've got some top predictions for the update that you need to know about.
Fortnite Season 6 may have only just started, but it's not hard to guess what's in store for the next big season.
Fortnite Season 7 release date – when does the next Fortnite season start?
Fortnite seasons typically last around two months – sometimes a little shorter, and sometimes a little longer.
The current Fortnite season kicked off on September 27, 2018, just a few days ago.
Sadly Epic Games hasn't confirmed when it'll end.
And there's no official confirmation about when the new season will begin – but there are some big clues.
For a start, Epic Games has confirmed the the Season 6 Battle Pass will run right up to December 5.
That's as good a confirmation as any that December 5 will be the season's final day.
Fortnite Seasons – how long do they last?
Here's when all the previous Fortnite seasons have taken place...
- Season 1 – October 25, 2017 to December 13, 2017
- Season 2 – December 14, 2017 to February 21, 2018
- Season 3 – February 22, 2017 to April 30, 2018
- Season 4 – May 1, 2018 to July 11, 2018
- Season 5 – July 12, 2018 to September 26, 2018
- Season 6 – September 27, 2018 to December 5, 2018
- Season 7 – December 6, 2018 to TBC (predicted)
Whenever a season finishes, the new one starts the very next day, so our best guess for the Season 7 start date is December 6, 2018.
It's also worth noting that last year's winter season kicked off on December 13, so it's not far-fetched to imagine this year's equivalent will begin at a similar time.
Fortnite Season 7 theme – will we be getting a winter wonderland?
With Fortnite Season 7 still a few months away, it's impossible to say exactly what the theme will be.
But there's a very obvious theme we can expect – Christmas!
Epic Games offered up a Christmas event last year for the Save the World game mode, and called it Survive the Holidays.
Players received "Snowflake" tickets to buy unique items, like Holiday Survival Llamas.
And the game got new festive heroes to play as, including Sarah Claus, Blitzen BASE Kyle, Snow Stalker Jonesy and Fragment Flurry Jess.
Even the Battle Royale mode got a seasonal update with the addition of a Snowball Launcher and a Christmas-themed Battle Bus.
Fortnite isn't the only game to celebrate Christmas either – other popular multiplayer games like Overwatch, League of Legends and World of Warcraft all offer seasonal events.

A recent report by also made the case for a Christmas-themed update.
The article suggested that we're already seeing evidence of a Halloween theme for the current Fortnite season.
For instance, the game now features Halloween decorations, a "spooky" Battle Pass, and a haunted castle.
This suggests Epic Games is still keen on offering themed seasonal events in the game.
