Fortnite Deep Freeze bundle brings Battle Royale to shops in time for Christmas
Epic's latest wheeze involves getting physical copies of its free-to-play game in shops with some cosmetic add-ons

YOU will very soon be able to buy a physical copy of Epic's free-to-play Fortnite: Battle Royale.
Warner Bros announced today it was going to be distributing Fortnite: Deep Freeze Bundle, and that it will set gamers back £24.99.
Bundled with the free game are 1,000 V-bucks, the in-game currency, as well as the Frostbite Outfit, Cold Front Glider, Chill-Axe Pickaxe and Freezing Point Back Bling.
Fortnite outfits and cosmetic items, none of which offer any competitive advantage, such as gliders and pick-axes cost between V500 and V2,000.
Totting it all up, that means that the cosmetic goodies in the bundle would be worth between £18 and £50, with the V-bucks adding a further £10.
The items in the bundle will be exclusive to it too, so buying the whole kit and caboodle is the only way to get your hands on any of the items in it.
Fortnite's Battle Royale launched in September last year, and is now available on PC, PS4, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Switch.
The bundle is technically available only for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and will be available digitally from the platforms' respective online stores.

PC players need not despair, though -- the bundle doesn't actually contain a physical disc, but just a download code.
Combined with PlayStation's new-found love for crossplay, that means you can buy it on whichever platform you like, apply the code to a console account linked to your Epic Games account, and away you go.
