Fortnite skin Zoey disabled by Epic Games after it made players INVISIBLE
Candy-wielding pink-pigtailed outfit has been locked by developers while they work on a fix
A GLITCH that meant players using the Zoey outfit in Fortnite were occasionally rendered invisible has meant that the popular skin has been locked by Epic Games.
Fans who had earned the outfit, which was a reward for those who reached Tier 47 of Fortnite's season 4 battle pass, are currently unable to use it.
Epic Games revealed on Twitter and the game's forum on Reddit that "players have found an issues with the Zoey outfit", later revealing the extreme nature of the problem.
A recent change meant that while the player's weapons would show up for opponents when playing as Zoey, the actual body of the character would not, rendering them significantly harder to hit and kill.
Players seemed relieved that the embarrassing gaffe was being addressed, with one Reddit poster saying: "Thank god. The amount of times I’ve seen guns literally running away from me."
Others suggested that the bug was actually slightly more complex.
"Last night I fought a Zoey who was just hair, hands, and shoes," said one.
The Zoey skin is popular in-game, but also outside.
She is one of the most popular targets in pervy online forums devoted to posting fan-made pornographic pictures of Fortnite characters.
