VANISHING ACT

Two popular Fortnite skins disappear overnight – with no explanation

All traces of the highly anticipated Onesie and K-Pop skins, both found in the game's code and expected imminently have vanished

FORTNITE fans looking forward to slipping into a fast food onesie or hoping to score a victory royale as a BTS tribute look set to have a while to wait.

Neither outfit has yet seen the light of day, but had been found by data miners looking into the game's code.

Who can possibly resist a hooded onesie with googly eyes, especially when accessorised with a cupholder and a bandolier?

Today, those same data miners have revealed some bad and puzzling news -- all that information is now gone.

Onesie, a female character dressed in a romper suit covered with logos from in-game fast food franchise Durr Burger, was among the skins revealed at the start of season 6 alongside Spider Knight, Arachne and Guan Yu.

K-pop has been around for even longer, first appearing in the code back in September before getting a proper name and more info at the start of season 6.

It is possible that the removals might have to do with the bug that saw the Zoey skin removed from the game after recent changes meant that she was fully or partially invisible to other players.

It seems very likely that the skins will return at some point given the work to implement them has already been done, and they seemed to be popular with fans.

It's possible that we won't see them for a while, though, given the slew of Hallowe'en skins, Oktoberfest skins, Día de Los Muertos skins... you get the picture.

In the mean time, just carry on hunting for those battle stars and levelling up!
