Apex Legends Battle Pass on the way when season 1 kicks off in March

FORTNITE rival Apex Legends is taking a few pages out of Epic Games' book for its new Battle Royale game.
Season One of Respawn's shooter will kick off in a a few short weeks, and it's going to come with a 100-level Battle Pass that will reward players with myriad cosmetics.
The season looks set to last for three months, according to the roadmap shared by the developers that shows season 2 kicking off in June.
As well as a new Battle Pass, each season is going to bring new weapons, loot and new Legends to play as.
The Battle Pass itself won't contain any Legends, though--as with Fortnite, the only things you'll get from the pass will be cosmetic and won't affect gameplay per se.
EA hasn't revealed what the Battle Pass itself will cost or if, as with Fortnite, it is technically possible to pay for it with currency earned in game.
CAN IT KEEP IT UP?
Apex has signed up over 10 million players in its opening 72 hours, and its popularity continues to grow.
At time of writing almost five times as many people were watching streamers play the game on Twitch, the platform that helped propel Fortnite's popularity and keep it going.
It's worth noting that the timing of Apex Legends' first season will put it on a direct collision course with the Fortnite juggernaut for the first time.
