MILLIONS of PlayStation gamers are set for an early summer treat.

This is a bonus on top of Sony’s monthly games drop for console users around the world.

A selection of bonus PlayStation (PS) Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium games will be available to users over the coming weeks.

These are part of Sony’s Days of Play promotion.

PS Plus is the popular membership scheme for聽PlayStation consoles聽that lets you enjoy online multiplayer.

Plus has two tiers of benefits: Extra and Premium.

Both allow users access to a rolling library of free titles to enjoy.

In Extra, these include a catalogue of PS5 and PS4 games.

But with Premium, this is extended to include games from PS1, PS2, PS3 and even PSP.

The Days of Play promotion means PS Plus users will get these bonus games on top of a usual monthly offering of games included in their subscription.

This means there will still be a normal drop of PS Plus games for June 2025 introduced later next month.

The Bonus games dropping for both subscription tiers are listed below, along with their release dates.

Sadly, this comes as six games will be disappearing from the PS Plus library in June, in line with the subscription’s monthly game rotation system.

These six games are classified as “Last Chance to Play” titles, and will disappear on June 17, 2025.

They are PS Plus library games 鈥?and not free downloads.

This means they are only available to play when on PS Plus.

Once they’re out of the PS Plus library, users are locked out from playing them, even if they’ve been downloaded.

These games can only be owned permanently if they’re bought at retail cost.

SONY’S PlayStation 6 may be out sooner than we thought, a new leak suggests.

The next-gen console built to replace the PS5 and PS5 Pro may be just around the corner.

Court documents from Microsoft, which owns Xbox, previously revealed that the tech giant was expecting a 2028 launch for next-gen consoles.

That included its own top-secret Xbox successor as well as Sony‘s unnamed next-gen PlayStation.

TIME TO PLAY?

But countering that is a new report from Insider Gaming that suggests an upcoming Blade Runner game due for 2027 has been cancelled.

The report notes that the game was due to land on next-gen consoles that are yet to be released.

This unannounced game was reportedly due to be called Blade Runner: Time To Leave.

It was allegedly in development at Supermassive Games, with a 12-hour single-player story planned.

The report notes that the game entered pre-production in September 2024 with a budget of around 拢33 million / $45 million.

But the game has supposedly been canned by the Guildford, UK-based studio.

However, it’s a major hint that the PS6 might land in 2027 rather than 2028.

Supermassive Games is owned by Nordisk Film, which is a Sony partner that has exclusive distribution rights to PlayStation products in Nordic countries.

Titles from the studio include Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology, The Quarry, and The Casting of Frank Stone.

The Sun has asked Supermassive Games for comment and will update this story with any response.

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE PS6 LAUNCH WINDOW?

Sony hasn’t explicitly confirmed a launch timeline for the PS6.

But the company has released plenty of consoles in the past, giving us some useful info to work with.

There’s usually a six-to-seven-year gap between the major console releases.

“Considering the trends and patterns, Thursday, November 11, 2027 seems more likely for a few reasons,” one of the latest AI models told The Sun last year.

“Sony has shown a preference for Thursday releases in recent years, especially for significant product launches like the PlayStation 5.

“Releasing on a Thursday allows for a full weekend of sales and media coverage, maximizing initial impact and momentum.

“Thus, the most likely date for the next-generation PlayStation console release, based on observed patterns and strategic considerations, would be: Thursday, November 11, 2027.”

MILLIONS of PlayStation owners are about to lose access to six games.

It’s part of Sony‘s monthly cull that will see the titles vanish from loads of consoles around the world in weeks.

PlayStation fans will need to buy the games outright to play them again

That’s because these six titles are being removed from PlayStation Plus.

PS Plus is the popular membership scheme for PlayStation consoles that lets you enjoy online multiplayer.

But it also gets you access to a rolling library of free titles to enjoy.

Now Sony has confirmed that at least six titles are leaving this roster in mid-June, including Monster Hunter Rise.

The list of games vanishing now classified as “Last Chance to Play” titles includes:

These six games will disappear on June 17, 2025.

These are PS Plus library games 鈥?and not free downloads.

PLAYSTATION fans are urging gamers to avoid a free title they say is glitchy 鈥?and not even worth playing.

The irate gamers have blasted the popular game, with one frustrated player moaning “I should have listened” before installing it.

Ark: Survival Ascended is one of the free games available to play with PlayStation Plus this month.

That means PS Plus subscribers can enjoy the title without paying a penny extra.

But some gamers say they’re having trouble with the action-adventure survival title on PlayStation consoles.

One player posting to Reddit said that they spent hours playing the game 鈥?only to lose all of their progress, as spotted by ComicBook.

“I love crafting survival games, so I was very excited when this was announced to be on PS Plus,” the user explained.

“I played it for about five hours. Save and close out, take a break.

“When I come back to it? Save file is gone completely.

“I looked all over forums for answers and it just seems like this is something that happens on console.”

Other games responded to the post with similar concerns.

One said: “Genuinely stay away from this game. You might think there is something good about it, but I can assure you there is nothing.”

Another wrote: “I played Ark on my PS5 for about half an hour. Afterwards my PS5 screen started flickering, even outside the game.

“Only powering down the console, waiting, and restarting fixed it.”

One added: “I can’t even get it to start right. It’s really glitchy for me right from the main menu. I said screw that and deleted it.”

And another said: “Well-known issue since launch.”

Ark: Survival Ascended is a remaster of 2015’s Ark: Survival Evolved, and sees players trying to survive a world inhabited with dinosaurs, monsters, and other players too.

The original game was first released as an early access title on PC, but eventually landed on Xbox, Windows, iPhone and Android, and PlayStation consoles too. The Ascended remaster is out on Windows PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 (now more expensive after a recent UK console price hike).

The Sun has asked game-maker Studio Wildcard for comment and will update this story with any response.

SWATHES of players of a popular online game have been told they need to upgrade their console if they want to keep playing.

Black Desert Online has announced to its 20million-strong fanbase that it will soon shut down for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players.

In an upcoming update, the online version of the action multiplayer online role-playing game (MORPG) will shift focus to the existing PC version of the game, and the all-new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions.

The update is scheduled for 26 June, and is touted to be the biggest update yet for Black Desert Online.

The game, developed by Pearl Abyss, has been online for nearly a decade.

But as the game grows, developers may have butt heads with limitations that come with older hardware – like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Both consoles were released in November 2013 – making them roughly 11 years old.

Once Black Desert Online migrates over to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, it will be unavailable to download or play on PS4 or Xbox One.

In-game purchases on these older consoles will also be restricted in the lead up to the switch off.

Gamers who are looking to upgrade will be able to transfer their data, to ensure their progress isn’t lost, according to developers.

When聽Black Desert Online聽is made available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S after maintenance, players will be able to pick up from where they left off – as long as they upgrade to a newer console.

Alternatively, players can switch to the popular PC version of the game, and avoid the hefty upgrade fee.

The cheapest PS5 is the digital edition, which costs 拢429.99 / $450 after a recent price hike in the UK.

While the Xbox Series X|S costs 拢429.99 / $500 and 拢249 / $300 respectively.

But players had little sympathy for those gaming on older consoles.

“Hope all the players have PS5s by now,” one player wrote on Reddit.

Mobile game War of Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is also set to shut down on 30 May.

Developers Square Enix announced the “difficult decision” to shutter the game after concluding “it would be difficult to maintain a satisfactory app experience” in future.

In-game sales of currency and special items have been halted.

Although it is possible to spend the currency that has already been purchased.

Square Enix聽also ended support for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles on iOS聽due to an unfixable bug.

And another mobile game, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, was retired聽in October 2024.

BRITAIN’S gamers will have to fork out even more for a PlayStation 5 after a surprise price hike.

Sony announced the increase overnight, with higher pricing for the console kicking in immediately.

It means that Brits will now pay 拢429.99 for the PS5 Digital Edition.

When the PS5 Digital Edition launched in late 2020, it only cost 拢359.99.

This went up to 拢389.99 in 2022, and the cost of the machine has now risen again.

It means you’ll now pay 拢70 more compared to the original price of a PS5 Digital Edition, and 拢40 extra versus last week’s mark-up.

Sony said it was increasig prices in several regions, although notably not the United States 鈥?despite Donald Trump‘s ongoing trade tariff threats.

The Japanese tech giant blamed “a backdrop of a challenging economic environment, including high inflation and fluctuating exchange rates”.

PlayStation’s Isabelle Tomatis said: “SIE has made the tough decision to raise the recommended retail price (RRP) of the PlayStation 5 console in select markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Australia and New Zealand.”

The price of the new PS5 Pro hasn’t changed at all.

And there’s a surprise decrease for a popular PS5 accessory: the Disc Drive.

This lets you upgrade the PS5 Digital Edition to have a Disc Drive.

It previously retailed for 拢99.99, but will now only set you back 拢69.99 鈥?a 拢30 price cut.

THE PRICE IS…WRONG?

The PS5 came out on November 12, 2020 in two versions.

There was a higher priced PS5 with a built-in disc drive, or a slightly cheaper Digital Edition that only offers downloaded or streamed gameplay.

The console was an instant hit, quickly selling out with gamers desperately hunting for anywhere that would flog them a console.

Since then, the price of the Digital Edition has crept up, leaving gamers disappointed.

Fans reacted poorly to the news on Reddit‘s PS5 forum.

One wrote: “This seems weird. Four years and a half in a generation and it is more expensive compared to launch.”

Another said: “Has there ever been a console that INCREASED in price as time went on? Every other console I can remember had steady decreases to price as time went on.”

PLAYSTATION fans are set for a major shake-up to their game libraries in April.

Sony is preparing to cull some games from player consoles 鈥?but there are a few extras on the way.

It’s all linked to the PlayStation Plus membership scheme.

This is Sony’s subscription that gets you access to online play, a library of games to enjoy, and a rotating selection of free titles to claim forever.

In April, Sony will add three new titles to the PS Plus Essentials list, and you’ll have a month to the claim them.

Meanwhile, seven games are being removed from the rolling roster of titles available for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.

NEW PS PLUS GAMES IN APRIL

Sony has already revealed the line-up of monthly games that you can claim with PS Plus for April.

They’ll all be playable from April 1.

First up is RoboCop: Rogue City, which is a PS5 title.

“Become the legendary part man, part machine, all cop hero and bring justice to the dangerous, crime-ridden streets of Old Detroit,” Sony explains.

“With your powerful Auto-9 or one of a range of weapons available, eradicate criminals throughout this explosive first-person adventure.

“Your cyborg strength and cybernetic abilities can be upgraded as you progress, to make you an even more formidable law enforcement officer.”

Then there’s third-person horror title The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, which is for PS4 and PS5.

And yes, it’s based on the 1974 film 鈥?so it’s not for the kids.

“As a victim you must use your wits and stealth to stay out of the Family鈥檚 reach and find the tools you need to lead to your eventual freedom,” Sony said.

“Slaughter Family players must seek out, track down, and stop their guests from escaping.”

According to Metacritic, the title has an average 72 score from critic reviews and and 8.0 rating from users.

Buying the download from the PlayStation Store would normally cost you 拢49.99.

Elsewhere, horror lovers are treated to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre video game, based on the chilling 1974 movie.

There are two ways to play.

Either as one of the notorious Slaughter family in which you must hunt down guests preventing them from escape.

Or, as a victim, where your mission is to find a way out alive.

The game usually costs 拢15.99 to buy and download from the PlayStation Store.

Finally, there’s Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth 鈥?Hacker鈥檚 Memory.

It normally costs 拢45 from the PlayStation Store – though it’s currently on offer for 拢8.

In total, the regular price of all three comes to 拢111.

PS Plus starts at 拢6.99 monthly for the cheapest Essential tier.

All three will be available to download at no extra cost from April 1 through to May 5.

This also means it’s your last chance to redeem March’s titles, which will disappear after March 31.

GAMERS no longer need to spend out hundreds all at once to get hold of a PS5 thanks to a new scheme from Sony.

Brits can get hold of the popular console for as little as 拢22 – but there’s a big catch.

SonyLease a PS5 instead of buying one outright[/caption]

You’ll only be renting the PS5 for a set amount of time instead of owning it.

Buying a brand new PS5 outright currently costs you almost 拢400.

Instead, Sony has teamed up with leasing company Raylo to offer PS5s to rent.

The cheapest and shortest leasing option is for the PS5 Digital Edition, with a rolling contract of 拢21.95.

But there are 12, 24 and 36 month options available too which cut the monthly cost down.

The 36 month option brings the Digital Edition down to 拢10.99 a month.

That will set you back a grand total of 拢395.64 by the time the 36 month period is up, more than the current retail price when buying outright.

And that would take you up to 2028 – the year Sony is rumoured to be launching a new PS6 console.

At the end of your lease period you can keep paying on a rolling basis or send the device back.

According to the buyer web page, users don’t need to worry about “wear and tear” damage either.

“It鈥檚 ok to return your device with obvious signs of use such as some scratching, small dents, discoloration or changes in the paintwork,” the site reads.

But if you return it damaged you could face a charge for repairs.

There is an extra insurance option for accidental damage.

Xbox runs something similar except its a monthly payment plan where you get to keep the machine at the end.

IF you owned a PlayStation 2, you might have a prized game gathering dust at home.

Fans of the iconic early-noughties console are willing to hand over serious cash for its most collectible titles.

It sold stupendously well, with over 160 million consoles shipped globally over its lifespan.

And one of the best-known games from the PS2 era was 2001’s survival horror: Silent Hill 2.

According to video game collectibles tracker PriceCharting, a sealed copy of the game could go for as much as 拢485 鈥?and possibly even more.

If you’ve had your sealed copy professionally graded, the game is said to be worth as much as 拢1,049.

Even if you’ve opened it, you can still get a bit of cash.

A complete-in-box version of the game is said to be worth 拢69 鈥?while the loose disc is valued at 拢48.

If you have the box with nothing else inside, you could get 拢18.

And the manual on its own has an estimated value of just under 拢18.

There’s some good news and bad news with these estimates, however.

These prices are just estimates based on previous sales of the game across the internet, rather than guarantees of cash.

The downside is that you might not get anywhere close to these values if you sell your game.

But the upside is that you could end up bagging even more if you find the right collector.

There’s also a chance that the value of your games could go up the longer you hold onto them too 鈥?but it’s all one big gamble.

PLAYSTATION owners are furious after realising some users won’t be entitled to any compensation at all following a disastrous global outage over the weekend.

Millions were left unable to access online content and play multiplayer games for more than 12 hours.

Sony said the lengthy PSN glitch was caused by an “operational issue”.

To apologise for the inconvenience, PS Plus subscribers were offered five additional days of access to the service for free.

But fans have slammed the “terrible” offer as those who don’t subscribe to PS Plus were affected too yet they won’t receive anything for the inconvenience.

This includes people being locked out of digital games and huge free-to-play hits like Fortnite and Roblox.

“Any game bought digital couldn鈥檛 be accessed,” one frustrated gamer wrote on X.

“The ps5 digital was a media station instead of a PlayStation for 20 hours !

“Games that don鈥檛 require online like rocket league Fortnite Roblox etc couldn鈥檛 be played online.

“All of that deserves a compensation. I bought my console.”

Another fumed on Reddit: “I don’t have ps plus but still couldn’t play the games I wanted to, guess I’m a f***ing second class citizen.”

A third added: “No playstation players could access games.

“I couldn鈥檛 access fortnite for example. But only people with playstation plus are getting compensation, not us others who also experienced outage.”

It’s not the first time PS5 and PS4 players have faced length downtime, having been hit by a similar issue back in October.

The PlayStation Network also went offline for thousands of gamers in May 2022.

However, it is not the longest outage in history with the “external intrusion” forcing the PSN to shut for 23 days back in 2011.

WHAT IS SONY OFFERING AND HOW DO I CLAIM?

If you're a PS Plus subscriber, Sony is offering a small gesture by way of apology for the outage.

PlayStation is giving away five extra days access to the service at no extra cost.

The firm should be adding the days onto your account automatically so keep an eye out.

If you don’t see extra days added it might be worth contacting PlayStation support.

FOLLOWING the worldwide outage that stopped users from playing online, PlayStation has issued a response and made a free offer to those affected.

Millions of users struggled to access their accounts on PlayStation Network yesterday.

AFPIt’s not the first time PSN has gone down with the longest outage occurring back in 2011[/caption]

The PSN was down for more than 12 hours with most of those affected citing server connection problems.

Some 24 hours on from the start of the outage, the service status page confirmed that all features had been restored.

According to Downdetector, at least 70,000 gamers reported the issues continuing through the night.

Issues were first noted around 11pm with over 14,000 complaints during the peak.

It is thought the outage impacted account management, gaming, video content, PlayStation store purchases and PlayStation Direct.

The longest outage since 2011, Sony has reassured all PS Plus members by revealing they will receive five days of free service as compensation.

Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, the account for Ask PlayStation wrote: “Network services have fully recovered from an operational issue.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and thank the community for their patience.

“All PlayStation Plus members will automatically receive an additional 5 days of service.”

The comments sections of that post has been flooded with angry customers confused by the outage.

Last night one person wrote: “It works for me now even though it says that servers are still down so I suggest you to give it a try guys.”

There was a silver lining for those impacted by the outage with Krispy Kreme offering a free treat.

The doughnut brand posted: “Calling all gamers: this play station still works.

“Grab a free Original Glazed Doughnut today from 5-7pm because sweet rewards don’t need a server.”

It’s not the first time this has happened with some PS5 and PS4 players facing a similar issue back in October.

The PlayStation Network also went offline for thousands of gamers in May 2022.

Personal information from 77 million accounts was compromised during the hack which stopped users of PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable consoles from accessing the service.

The joint venture of the two Japanese behemoths forms the brand called Afeela, which aims to rival the likes of Tesla with its range of luxury, high-tech EVs.

Sony originally showed off its Vision-S concept car way back in January 2020, before Honda joined the cause in 2022 to form Sony Honda Mobility.

Then, in 2023, SHM announced that its cars would be marketed under the Afeela brand.

This first release, which will be named the Afeela 1, will be available in two trims; Origin and Signature.

Origin will be its entry-level option with prices starting at $89,900, which converts to roughly 拢73,000, while Signature will be more advanced and cost a whopping $102,900 (nearly 拢84,000) – with 21-inch wheels, extra screens for rear-seat passengers and more cameras.

It’s been claimed the EV’s range will top 300 miles, while the real selling point is the car’s autonomous driving ability.

On this, Yasuhide Mizuno, Chairperson and CEO at Sony Honda Mobility, said: “Sony Honda Mobility strives to evolve relationships with people through intelligent mobility and revolutionise the travel experience.

“We are very pleased to unveil Afeela 1, developed for the era of autonomous driving, at CES 2025.”

“Afeela 1 can be called a buddy, combining advanced software with meticulously refined hardware.

“We will meet our customers’ expectations by providing a safe, secure and comfortable travel experience.”

On the outside, the car features a minimalist design with hidden door handles and a completely flush front end.

That includes the gimmicky 鈥楳edia Bar鈥?which can display messages on the front bumper to enable “seamless communication between drivers, passengers, and even people outside the vehicle, adding a new dimension of enjoyment to public spaces”.

This can also display charge status or even 鈥榙igital stickers鈥? with plans for the car to display weather, traffic updates and even sports results.

Inside, the car will feature a range of tech, including a panoramic screen that stretches across the dash, along with Sony鈥檚 surround sound and noise cancelling technology.

There’s naturally an AI personal assistant too, which is able to have ‘natural conversations’ and will even initiate chats – a little bit like Knight Rider.

It also features a distinctive half-yoke steering wheel and a digital rear-view mirror.

Sony’s website describes its vision for the future of cars as “mobility spaces” on wheels, akin to a living room, complete with music, video, and even full-scale video games.

Afeela The Force

It’s a PlayStation on wheels (almost): Afeela uses Sony’s entertainment prowess, promising immersive sound, noise-cancelling tech, and potentially even integration with Sony’s gaming world. Imagine playing Gran Turismo while your car drives itself?

It’s got a face: The Media Bar on the front bumper isn’t just a fancy light show; it displays information like charging status and can even communicate with pedestrians. Swear jar not included鈥?lt;/p>

It wants to be your buddy: Afeela is designed to be more than just a car. It’s an AI-powered companion that learns your habits and evolves alongside you, offering personalised suggestions and engaging in natural conversations.

It has more eyes than a spider: With up to 40 sensors, including cameras, radar, lidar, and ultrasonics, Afeela has a 360-degree view of its surroundings, making it ultra-perceptive.

It’s a subscription service on wheels: Some of Afeela’s key features, like autonomous driving and the personal assistant, will require a subscription.

It’s expensive: Starting at nearly $90,000, the Afeela is a luxury EV that鈥檚 aiming to compete with the likes of Tesla and Porsche, but it has a lot to prove to justify its premium price tag.

This comes as Sony’s electronics rivals Sharp unveiled its own EV concept back in September with a futuristic-styled campervan that’s like a ‘lounge on wheels’ with a huge built-in television set.

Elsewhere, a tiny home campervan has a living room that expands by 400ft in just seconds as AI “captures water from thin air” and turns on the lights.

AC Future’s AI-TH transformable home is kitted out with modern technology and comes in three different models.

FANS are still waiting for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse to be released.

The hotly-anticipated movie was set to swing into cinemas in March 2024 but has been delayed. Here’s the latest news on the Sony movie.

There has been a lot of speculation about when Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be released.

The threequel was slated to hit theatres in 2024.

However, according to reports on December 16, 2024, Sony has no plans to release Beyond the Spider-Verse in 2025.

The report in Deadline claims the studio is “taking a lot of tender loving care” when it comes to concluding Miles Morales’ story as Spider-Man.

Released date speculation

It had previously been claimed that fans might even have to wait until 2027 before the film is released.

However, this report was rubbished by composer Daniel Pemberton, who said: “Don’t really ever want to weigh in on this sort of stuff BUT would you ever believe there could sometimes be stuff on the internet that might not always be particularly accurate?”

Meanwhile, Karan Soni, who voices Pavitr Prabhakar, aka Spider-Man India, told The Times of India in August 2024 that recording starts “in a few months”.

“That movie is deep in production. It’s animation, so it’s different and takes a long time. We’ll see when it’s ready and when it ends up coming out, but I’m really excited,” he added.

Star cast

The cast for Beyond the Spider-Verse has yet to be confirmed.

However, it is more than likely that Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld will return as Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy.

It’s also reported that will be joined by Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara (Spider-Man 2099), Issa Rae as Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman) and Daniel Kaluuya as Hobie Brown (Spider-Punk).

However. Jake Johnson, who plays Peter B Parker, revealed in January 2024 that he wasn’t sure if he is back for the next movie.

“I love Peter B Parker. I will say this, I would be so sad if I got a call that Peter B Parker is not returning to the Spider-Verse, because I feel really attached to that character,” he said.

Sony are yet to reveal an official plot synopsis for Beyond the Spider-Verse.

However, Across the Spider-Verse’s ending set up the storyline for the new movie.

There is no Spider-Man in this universe, as the spider that bit Miles was transported to his universe (Earth-1610) by The Spot.

However, all is not lost for Miles as Gwen now has her own Spidey team and they are trying to rescue him.

But they need to work out where he is first.

The PlayStation controller normally goes for 拢64.99 鈥?although Amazon lists the retail price as 拢62.28.

That’s a saving of about 拢22, or slightly more if you compare it to the official price.

It’s not quite the lowest price ever, as it briefly sold for 拢38.99 last year.

But it’s very close to rock-bottom pricing, and is cheaper than the average mark-up of 拢58.71, according to price trackers.

Sony‘s PlayStation DualSense is one of the best joypads on the market.

It offers something called haptic feedback that lets you “feel” what’s going on in the game.

There are several different colours that can appear on your聽PlayStation聽joypad.

They might show up at the sides of the Touch Bar on the face of the DualSense 鈥?or the LED bar, which is just below the PS button.

It’s also important to note that you’ll get different lights when you’re linked to a PS5 鈥?or if you’re connected to another device via Bluetooth, like your Apple iPad or a gaming PC.

Playing on a PS5

Your PS5 controller will normally show a blue light when it’s connected to a PlayStation.

But if a second DualSense joins, their colour will be red.

Green signifies that a third player has been added, and purple is used to show a fourth.

You might also find that the bar turns orange. That means you’re running low on battery.

However, if it’s a pulsing light, that means your PS5 is either charging or entering Rest Mode.

Finally, if the LED bar below your PS button is orange, it means the controller is muted.

This is extremely important: you don’t want to be accidentally chatting in voice lobbies because your microphone is active.

Playing on another device

When you’re connected to something other than a PS5, the lights take on a different meaning.

A blue and white light-pulse means that you’re pairing with a device.

And a solid blue indicates that the pairing is finished.

An orange-and-white light means that your DualSense is paired to another device.

And a pulsing orange light signals that your controller is charging.

And it can also connect to Windows PCs or Apple Mac computers too.

That means you can use it for for mobile or PC gaming.

And you can also use it for playing on cloud-based game services, so you can set up your smartphone or tablet to effectively function like a console.

Similarly, you can connect it to certain TV models or streaming devices (like the Apple TV) too, to take advantage of any controller-friendly games they have.

The PS5 Pro is said to have super sharp image clarity using AI-enhanced resolution for 4K TV too.

Frame rate has been upped too, so gamers can enjoy even smoother gameplay when using advanced 60Hz and 120Hz displays.

The Pro is digital-only and packs 2TB of storage space for your games.

Argos’ deal comes hot on the heels of Black Friday where shoppers are hoping more discounts could be on the way soon.

But this first price cut takes 拢40 off – meaning the PS5 Pro costs 拢659.99.

Some argue the new console still costs too much but it’s a nice little saving for anyone strongly considering the PS5 Pro.

For those who want something a little special, the tech giant has developed a limited edition model with a throwback design to celebrate 30 years of PlayStation.

The design pays homage to the grey PlayStation that changed the world of gaming way back on December 3, 1994.

Just 12,300 units of the PS5 Pro 30th anniversary edition are being released globally and each are numbered.

It retails for 拢959.99 / $999 but greedy resellers could make well over double that by flogging them on eBay.

Some have sold for up to 拢5,000 / $6,450 on the online bidding site already.

The move may not come as a surprise to fans who have been through the chaos of so-called scalpers with the main PS5 launch in 2020.

With stock quite limited during the Coronavirus outbreak, people with no interest in gaming were able to jump on sales as soon as they went live from retailers, before quickly selling them on at a profit.

“Pretty depressing for real PlayStation fans,” one user wrote on X.

“Not surprising, but disappointing greed,” another commented.

“These resellers ruin it for genuine fans hoping to own a rare item.”

A third added: “That’s what’s wrong with society.”

It comes as the main PS5 Pro goes on sale across the world today.

Existing Netflix customers can add the value of the promotion onto their plan, so they no longer need to pay for the service going forward.

Until, of course, the credit runs out.

Some users have used it to pay off their Netflix bill for three and a half years on the cheapest, ad-supported tier, for 拢4.99 per month.

It’s important to note that the offer is only available to UK-based gamers who buy their console directly from the PlayStation website.

Gamers must also have a PlayStation Plus Membership.

Although a PS Plus Essential subscription costs 拢6.99 for one month – so it is still a good deal if you’re in the market for a new console.

You can add the credit onto your Netflix account if you are billed directly.

Your Netflix account will not be eligible if you are billed through a third-party such as Sky.

Participants in the deal must be a UK resident, over the age of 18 and have a PlayStation Network (PSN) account to be eligible.

How to redeem offer

First, you must sign into your PSN account on the PlayStation Direct website here.

Next, choose which eligible item you want to purchase.

The offer is available with the following items:

PSVR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle 拢569.99

The PS5 Pro console is not included in this offer.

When you have purchased your item, sign into your PSN account to claim your offer.

The redemption link, which expires midnight on 17 January 2025, will only work once your order has shipped.

Instructions on how to redeem your Netflix credit will be emailed within one to two business days after your order has been shipped.

The email will be in the inbox of the address linked to your PSN account.

What do PS5 DualSense controller lights mean?

Here's what you need to know...

There are several different colours that can appear on your PlayStation joypad.

They might show up at the sides of the Touch Bar on the face of the DualSense 鈥?or the LED bar, which is just below the PS button.

It’s also important to note that you’ll get different lights when you’re linked to a PS5 鈥?or if you’re connected to another device via Bluetooth, like your Apple iPad or a gaming PC.

Playing on a PS5

Your PS5 controller will normally show a blue light when it’s connected to a PlayStation.

But if a second DualSense joins, their colour will be red.

Green signifies that a third player has been added, and purple is used to show a fourth.

You might also find that the bar turns orange. That means you’re running low on battery.

However, if it’s a pulsing light, that means your PS5 is either charging or entering Rest Mode.

Finally, if the LED bar below your PS button is orange, it means the controller is muted.

This is extremely important: you don’t want to be accidentally chatting in voice lobbies because your microphone is active.

Playing on another device

When you’re connected to something other than a PS5, the lights take on a different meaning.

A blue and white light-pulse means that you’re pairing with a device.

And a solid blue indicates that the pairing is finished.

An orange-and-white light means that your DualSense is paired to another device.

And a pulsing orange light signals that your controller is charging.
