UK holiday parks and cottages in July from £62 per break – after PM announces staycations are on for summer
HOLIDAYS in England can go ahead at self-contained holiday lets from April 12, the Prime Minister has announced, so long as coronavirus rates continue to fall.
A surge in holiday bookings for breaks in July and August are expected following today's announcement.
From April 12 people from the same household will be able to book self-contained holiday lets such as holiday homes.
From May 17, hotels are allowed to reopen and holiday homes can be let to groups of up to six people from different households or groups from two households with no cap on size.
From June 21, holiday homes can be let to groups of all sizes.
It is worth noting that dates for coming out of lockdown are not set in stone, and holidays will only happen on the condition that coronavirus cases continue to fall and vaccines still roll out at pace.

There's self-catered accommodation at a number of popular holiday destinations in the UK, including Suffolk and Sussex.
Back in January The Health Secretary Matt Hancock said Brits should be able to enjoy a "happy and free Great British summer" once most adults have received the Covid jab.
And despite the restrictions, a number of Brits booked holidays in England earlier in the year.
This led to holiday companies predicting a sell-out summer of staycations as bookings surged.

In fact, some families have even put on waiting lists for Cornwall.
Now, as long as coronvarius cases continue to fall and the vaccine rollout continues as planned, Brits can finally book a staycation.
International travel, however, is still on hold.
