BRITS are looking forward to another summer of staycations, as the Covid pandemic puts people off holidaying abroad for a second year in a row.
There's plenty to enjoy about a seaside holiday in England, from pub lunches and beach fairgrounds to coastal walks - but a quintessential favourite worth trying this year is the beach hut.
The quaint multicoloured huts that line some of the country's best beaches have the power to make or break a trip to the seaside.
If you fancy a cuppa, a hot breakfast, shelter from the rain or even space for an afternoon nap for one the kids, these huts can usually cater for all of that and usually some beach games, deckchairs and blankets.
If you're in a particularly fancy hut, you might even get your own private terrace out front.

This quaint beach hut is situated on the popular Walton on the Naze beach.
Inside is storage, seating and a stocked kitchen, plus beach games and bodyboards.
Meanwhile outside, the space has been extended to include a sun terrace.
Seas The Moment, Dunster Beach

Recently renovated, this lakeside overlooks the nature reserve at the Dunster Beach site.
This property comes with a double bed, fully equipped kitchen area, living area toilet and shower.
It has front and back fenced patios and even a tv.
Jabba The Beach Hut, North Beach
Daytime hire. Location: North Beach, Southwold, Suffolk
This quintessential striped beach hut is on the promenade, right next to Southwold Pier.
Built in 2014, it includes crockery, cutlery, table and chairs, deckchairs, a two ring gas cooker and a kettle.
The hut has been used for photoshoots and marriage proposals.
Beach Hut 1614, Summerleaze Beach

There are 216 beach huts in Bude and £1m has been spent over the last few years updating them.
These come without running water or electricity but you'd struggle to find a cheaper beach hut for hire.
