Popular sunshine holiday destination scraps all Covid rules for Brits – regardless of vaccination status
A CARIBBEAN holiday hotspot has announced it is scrapping all Covid entry rules for Brits, regardless of vaccination status.
The tri-island state of Grenada, which includes Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, will ditch all its Covid restrictions from April 4.
Currently, vaccinated Brits need to show evidence of a negative PCR test taken within three days prior to travelling, or a negative antigen test taken within one day prior to travelling, as well as proof of vaccination.
Unvaccinated Brits must quarantine for seven days at an approved accommodation and must get a negative result from a PCR test on day five to be allowed out.
However, from Monday those rules are all being scrapped, so travellers won't need any tests or proof of vaccination to enter.
Additionally, the mandatory use of face masks will also be lifted on April 4.

Shawn Charles, chief medical officer for ministry of health Grenada, was "delighted" to announce the changes.
According to, he said: "Grenada is at a stage where we can consider the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, even though we are aware the pandemic is not yet over.
"We're delighted to be able to offer all travellers a seamless and easy travel experience and we're looking forward to welcoming them to our beautiful islands."
Grenada isn't the only Caribbean destination relaxing Covid rules.

Anguilla has announced it is easing its restrictions from tomorrow, making travel easier for vaccinated Brits.
Currently, vaccinated arrivals need to get permission from the Anguilla government health team to enter, but from April 1, that rule is being scrapped.
Vaccinated Brits will still need to show proof of a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of travel and have a Covid test on arrival.
Unvaccinated travellers are not permitted to visit Anguilla, unless they are under the age of 18 or they're pregnant.
Other holiday hotspots are also easing Covid restrictions ahead of the Easter holidays.
Today, France put the UK on its green list and scrapped the requirement for unvaccinated travellers to need an essential reason to enter the country.

Unvaccinated Brits will need to show evidence of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before travelling, or a negative antigen test taken within 48 hours before travelling.
Earlier this month, Denmark dropped all of its Covid rules, India lifted its international flight ban, and the Maldives ditched all Covid tests and mandatory face masks.
