THE direct train route from Amsterdam to London has restarted after an eight-month pause - but you will have to be quick to make the most of it.
Eurostar services between Amsterdam Centraal Station and London St. Pancras International were halted last June.
The direct trains were suspended because Amsterdam Centraal Station was being revamped, with passport checks unable to take place in the Dutch Capital.
It meant Eurostar services had to stop at Brussels, where Brits could clear immigration, adding extra time onto the journey.
The train route in the other direction - London to Amsterdam - was unaffected.
Now, passport checks can take place in the Dutch capital, which means direct services have resumed between Amsterdam and London.

Eurostar will operate up to three daily services between the two European capitals.
However, this is only until March 29, as direct services will be suspended next month again with more renovations set to take place in Amsterdam.
From March 30 until April 22, the direct trains will be halted in both directions as platform renovations take place in the Dutch capital, according to .
The platform renovations will impact passengers in both directions, with customers needing to change in Brussels again.

Brits can travel to Europe with Eurostar for as little as £39 each way.
This includes routes from London St Pancras to Paris, Lille, Brussels, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
Although fares could get even cheaper in 2025.
Last September, the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) recommended reducing fares by 7.7 per cent from April 2025.
And last month, Virgin revealed its latest plans to take on Eurostar services with an order for a dozen new trains to Europe.
Virgin first announced its plans to launch a transatlantic train route back in 2023, with the entire project slated to cost up to £1billion.
If its plans are approved, the new trains to Europe could launch by 2029.
Meanwhile, start-up Evolyn announced plans for trains between London and Paris in 2023.

Beijing to Ulaanbatar
"The Trans-Mongolian Express is truly a train journey like no other.
