Royal Caribbean has 7-night winter sun cruises to Dubai from £300pp with all meals included

HOLIDAYS in Dubai can end up costing a small fortune, especially once you've factored in hotels and food.

But go via cruise and you can make a huge saving.

Right now, Royal Caribbean are offering from around £300 per person on a full board basis.

The cheapest travel deals are all for departures towards the end of January, perfect if you're looking for some winter sun.

Dubai is particularly good at this time of the year as average highs are a comfortable 24C in January and there's little chance of rain.

There are two deals around £300pp right now.

One is a seven-night break to Qatar, Bahrain and the UAE, .

It departs from Dubai and goes to Doha, Bahrain, Sir Bani Yas and Abu Dhabi before returning to Dubai.

The second is a seven-night from to Oman and the UAE,

This one leaves from Dubai and sails to Sir Bani Yas, Khasab, Muscat, Abu Dhabi before returning to Dubai.

Both of the deals are for interior staterooms - which don't have exterior windows - on board Jewel of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean also have an offer for free stateroom upgrades for the next couple of days so on selected sailings, you can pick a room with a view without paying anything more.

All your food, from breakfast, lunch to dinner and snacks, are all included.

You can also upgrade to an all-include package to include alcoholic drinks.

Aside from checking out all the destinations during the day, Jewel of the Seas offers lots of activities you can do on board without having to pay any additional fees.

There are several pools on board and you can play sports including basketball and table tennis.

There's also a climbing wall and miniature golf course.

And in the evening, you can settle down for one of the Broadway-style show or see a film in the on-board cinema.

The price doesn't include flights though, so you'd have to book them separately.

At the moment, return flights from London to Dubai start from around £300 , but you might find booking two single flights could work out cheaper.

It's also worth checking to see if there are any good flight deals for Dubai as several major airlines currently have flight sales.
