Will there be a Lucifer season six?
Lucifer is back for its sixth (and apparently final) series.
Season five was initially announced as Lucifer's last, but fans weren't too happy about that and started campaigns to keep the show going - with the best performing petition attracting more than 100,000 signatures.
In February 2020, the show's creators agreed to a sixth series.
In March 2020 it was reported that leading man Tom Ellis' contract negotiations had fallen through, but something must have changed as he eventually signed on for another series two months later.
The official account then confirmed that Season 6 would be the last.
Netflix tweeted: "The devil made us do it. #lucifer will return for a sixth and final season. like, FINAL final."

more about lucifer season six
The season finale of Lucifer season five saw God (Dennis Haysbert) return to earth in an attempt to reconcile with his children.
This prompts Lucifer to engage in an epic battle with his evil twin, Michael.
In a devastating scene, Michael murders Chloe, leaving Lucifer with no choice but to head to heaven to rescue her - dying himself in the process.
He manages to bring Chloe back but, after his death, Lucifer is resurrected as a God.
This left fans with numerous questions for season six to tackle: how will Lucifer handle becoming the great almighty? Will he be stuck in charge forever? If Chloe was resurrected, does that mean she's now also immortal?
Who will be in the cast of Lucifer season six?
Tom Ellis and Lauren German will reprise their roles as Lucifer Morningstar and Detective Chloe Decker.
Lesley-Ann Brandt (Maze), Rachael Harris (Linda Martin), Aimee Garcia (Ella Lopez), Kevin Alejandro (Dan Espinoza) and Scarlett Estevez (Trixie Espinoza) will also be returning to the show.
The new series is set to feature a number of guest stars, too, including Chris Coy, Scott Porter and Rob Zabrecky.
