Lucifer fans crack hidden meaning behind strange symbols in devil’s plush Hollywood penthouse

LUCIFER fans think they’ve cracked the hidden meaning behind the strange symbols in the devil’s plush Hollywood penthouse.

The king of Hell has a luxurious LA apartment that has areas decorated with ancient writing, and fans are desperate to find out if it has any hidden meanings.

Situated above his nightclub, Lux, Lucifer’s modest digs boast uninterrupted views of the Hollywood skyline, superb furnishings and a private bar.

In amongst the high ceilings, sumptuous furnishings and covetable interiors, fans have noticed that Mr Morningstar has also decorated the walls with a selection of ancient symbols over the doorway to the devil’s bedroom.

Although the strange writing hasn’t been directly translated, one knowledgeable eagle-eyed fan has spent a lot of time pausing and zooming in on the writing.

Going some way to provide answers, the keen-eyed viewer revealed on CBR.com that the ancient form of writing is actually an old script known as Cuneiform.

Lucifer called the symbols Assyrian, which is half right, but according to CBR.com: “Cuneiform was first developed to write the Sumerian language, but was later used to write Akkadian, including its Assyrian and Babylonian dialects.”

The significance to Lucifer and all things heavenly is that Cuneiform was formed before Christianity and any references to Lucifer or Satan.

The website theorised that Lucifer wants to surround himself with snippets of cultures that haven't associated him with evil, “an idea that he has trouble accepting in the show.”

Die-hard fans believe this shows that Lucifer resents the fact he has become a symbol of evil and sin amongst most cultures on Earth.

Plastering his walls with ancient symbols constructed before his crusades made it into the Old Testament, the fallen angel can remind himself that he hasn’t always been a figure of evil.

The symbols prove he always has the capacity for good.

Season 5A dropped earlier this year on Netflix with Lucifer returning from Hell to finally cement his relationship with Detective Chloe Decker.

Over the course of the five series fans have watched as Morningstar has battled demons, both physical and metaphorical, to become a better person.

He’s built bridges with former enemies, reconciled with his brother Amenadiel, played by DB Woodside, and even made plenty of friends among his new mortal neighbours.

The midseason finale delivered the series’ most epic battle so far, before the timely arrival of God (Dennis Haysbert) put an end to the sibling rivalry.

During a physical argument between Lucifer and his brothers – Michael and Amenadiel – the Almighty arrived for a long overdue heart-to-heart.
