STRICTLY's Ranvir Singh poured cold water over rumours she has embarked on a secret romance with her dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

The single mum denied there was anything going on between the pair after head judge Shirley Ballas pointed out their 'flirting' on the show and her Good Morning Britain co-star Susanna Reid said she hoped the rumours were true.

Viewers had also been convinced that love was blossoming between Ranvir and Giovanni after spotting sizzling chemistry between them on the dance floor.

And their sexy cha-cha-cha last weekend did nothing to dispel the speculation, with the stars appearing closer than ever.

But Ranvir, 43, scoffed at the swirling rumours and even insisted that Giovanni was too young for her to date.

She told the : “We both find the idea that we might get hit by the curse very funny – he is a 30-year-old man!”

Backing her up, her Strictly co-star Jamie Laing revealed Ranvir can't stand Giovanni at the end of a hard day's training.

He added: "I was talking to Ranvir the other day, who's just wonderful, and she said 'at the end of the day I HATE Giovanni. Hate him'.

"They have such a funny relationship, like brother and sister. He is so competitive and she is so laid back and it makes him furious. It's hilarious. I just don't see how the curse can happen."

The news will disappoint her colleague Susanna who got very excited at the prospect of Ranvir finding love on Strictly.

She said last week: "It would be rather marvellous.

"It wouldn't be a curse it would be a blessing."
