Darragh, 47, was revealed as the sixth Chaser last month, after he impressed as a contestant nearly three years ago.

One fan said: "The new Chaser @bones_giles is rather quite dapper. A mix between Andrea Bocelli and James May."

"I fancy Darragh SO much," admitted another.

A third revealed: "Well, The Ma has just seen Darragh “The Menace” Ennis on #TheChase and said something that’d make even @red_palimpsest
blush.

"Mind you, I find the guy VERY attractive too!"

And so it appears that the scientist, who hails from Ireland, has turned more than a few heads following his debut on the ITV quiz show.

So much so, that one admirer suggested a change of name.

She wrote on Twitter: "Surely “The Dreamboat” would’ve been a much better name for the Menace."

Another fan said: "I know Darragh is married but I still would."

"Ooh it's the Irish eye-candy #Darragh #TheChase," announced another fan.

And: "Proper fancy Darragh".

One avid viewer went on: "I’d have such an answer if I went on #TheChase and Brad asked which chaser I’d like to face:

"Darragh bc I fancy him

"Paul bc he’s funny

"Mark bc my grandma fancied him

"Shaun bc you’ve got more chance of winning against him!!!"

Darragh originally appeared on The Chase as a contestant in March 2017, where he successfully took on Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha.

He won £9,000 for his team during the money building round while the other team members took the lower offers from the Chaser.

During the Final Chase, Darragh contributed 14 correct answers to leave Sinha with the insurmountable challenge of topping their 23 steps - before the team took home their winnings.

He now joins the likes of Mark 'The Beast' Labbett, Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty and The Dark Destroyer Shaun Wallace as quiz masters on the Bradley Walsh hosted programme.

"It's such an exciting opportunity and I can't wait to take on more contestants!"
