DAYTIME TV host Pat Sajak has been a fixture on American television sets for more than 40 years.
Sajak announced on June 12, 2023, that he would be stepping down from his role as Wheel of Fortune host after starting on the game show in 1983.

On June 27, entertainer Ryan Seacrest confirmed that he would be taking over as Wheel of Fortune's new host.
"I'm truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak," Seacrest wrote in his statement on Instagram.
"I can say, along with the rest of America, that it's been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years.
"Pat, I love the way you've always celebrated the contestants and made viewers at home feel at ease. I look forward to learning everything I can from you during this transition.
"Many people probably don't know this but one of my first jobs was hosting a little game show called 'Click' for Merv Griffin 25 years ago so this is truly a full circle moment for me and I'm grateful for Sony for the opportunity.
"I can't wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White."
Sajak announced on Twitter in early June that the game show's upcoming season would be his last alongside his longtime co-host, Vanna, telling fans that the "time has come" for him to leave the series.
Sajak added that he would "have more to say in the coming months" and thanked his fans for all the support.

Sajak will remain the host of Wheel of Fortune through the show's 41st season.
The entertainer posted on Twitter in June: "...I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last."
The season 40 finale of Wheel of Fortune aired on June 9.
Following his exit as host, a network representative revealed Sajak agreed to stay on the show as a consultant for three additional years.
