Emma Willis reveals she’s ready to do Strictly Come Dancing after The Circle is axed

TV host Emma Willis says she could achieve her dream of being on Strictly Come Dancing this year after losing one of her most time-consuming jobs.
She is normally too busy presenting ITV’s The Voice and Channel 4’s reality show The Circle — but that was cancelled three months ago.
Now Emma, 45, says the changes to her diary opens up the possibility of her hotfooting it on to the BBC1 dance contest, won last year by comic Bill Bailey and his pro partner Oti Mabuse.
She said: “If I had time, I would do it in a heartbeat. Like I absolutely love it.
“I’ve been asked in the past but it’s always the time of year when we’re filming The Voice and The Circle.
“The Circle is not happening this year, but let’s hope The Voice is — otherwise I will be doing Strictly.”
Emma has already recorded her latest ITV show, Cooking with the Stars, which starts next Tuesday and tests the culinary skills of a group of celebrities including Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas, 60.
When asked if Shirley had persuaded Emma to sign up for the show she replied: “She does not need to convince me to go on Strictly.”
The line-up also includes Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley, 37, comic Johnny Vegas, 50, and performer Denise van Outen, 47.
But McFly star Harry Judd, 35, made the biggest impression after he sliced his hand open with one of the knives.

Mum-of-three Emma, who is married to Busted singer Matt Willis, 38, said: “The first chop he made, he took the end of his finger off. We put bandages on and double-gloved him as well because he was like, ‘I really want to carry on.’”
She later asked if his hand was alright and he replied: “Yes, it’s a bit sweaty in there. I’ve been double-gloved for an hour.”
But he then pulled the gloves and bandages back slightly and she told him: “That’s not sweat, dude. That’s blood.”
She added: “One of the chefs was like, ‘You need a medic, immediately.’”
