Vigil’s Suranne Jones reveals surprising reason why she would turn down a role in Line of Duty

VIGIL star Suranne Jones has revealed the surprising reason why she wouldn't take on a role in Line of Duty.
The talented actress has played a range of characters, but admits she "wouldn't rush" for a part on the award-winning series.
Suranne, 43, is currently entertaining audiences as DCI Amy Silva in the new BBC drama created by the makers of Line of Duty.
The officer is sent on board a submarine to investigate the murder of Craig Burke - LoD alum Martin Compston.
Suranne explained: "You watch something like Line of Duty (and the police officers) reel off all of the procedural stuff.
"And it’s like, ‘I want to give you a medal’, as it’s so hard to do and she (LoD star Vicky McClure) does it brilliantly, as do all of the guys in Line of Duty."
reported the star adding: "I wouldn’t rush to play another police officer because of those scenes, but this one (Vigil) is different."
As the penultimate episode of Vigil aired on Sunday, the six-part drama has received a mixed reaction from viewers.

Some have lashed out at the show's "confusing" plot after Amy was last night left fighting for her life in a major cliffhanger.
The claustrophobic officer was seen trapped in a torpedo tube filling up with water.
"Can't wait for the next episode, how much more ridiculous can this get," asked one viewer on Twitter.
Another complained: "Been watching this five weeks in and still don’t have a feckin clue who’s who ? And what’s going on ??"
Vigil continues Sunday, 9pm on BBC One.
