Strictly star is unrecognisable with long hair as he performs in Rock Of Ages at West End Live

KEVIN Clifton looked unrecognisable as he returned to his grungy roots to appear in Rock Of Ages.
The former Strictly star, 38, wowed wearing a long wig, cowboy hat and lashing of eyeliner as he rocked out at Trafalgar Square for part of West End Live over the weekend.
The dancing champ is currently touring the UK playing Stacee Jaxx in a part that sees him show off his singing skills as well as his moves.
Kevin previously sported a similar look in real life and one revealed the BBC were not too keen on his goth look when he first auditioned for the show.
Kevin also admitted it took him three tries to be hired by Strictly bosses — while his then wife and dance partner Karen Hauer was signed up at her first attempt in 2012.
He said: “I had long black hair, eyeliner, black fingernails — ‘Don’t think I’m your average ballroom dancer, guys!’
“They said, ‘We’d love to take Karen, but not that guy. We’ve no need for this Gothic scarecrow who thinks he’s the rock star of the ballroom.’”
Kevin has been busy this year with theatre work and also appeared in Singing In The Rain.
But he struggled initially after he bowed out in March 2019 after winning the Glitterball trophy with his now girlfriend Stacey Dooley.
Shortly after he left, the theatre industry began to be decimated by the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking to the , he said: "Obviously it was difficult when all the theatre went away this year and I'm sat at home watching [Strictly Come Dancing].
"But I still feel it was the right time. But fingers crossed that 2021 is going to be a version of what 2020 was supposed to be – for everyone in the world!"
