Coronation Street star Kimberly Hart-Simpson reveals her mum has been rushed to hospital after serious accident
CORONATION Street actress Kimberly Hart-Simpson has revealed her mum has been rushed to hospital after a serious accident.
The Nicky Wheatley star posted a picture of her mum's hand in hospital with a message to her fans about what had happened.
She wrote: "Perspective. This week online it looks like a wonderful life.
"Reality; it is - but it's fragile. Mumzy had a serious accident and between Keeping up appearances, hospital visits and the dogs asking what's for dinner I haven't had time to feel festive or reply to you all thanking you for your kind words on this week's post.
"But I appreciate you.
"There is this nurse on the ward who comes in singing to her patients dancing giving it big beans at all times.
"And I know that she is trained to save lives but it's like she injects life too."
After praising the nurse, Kimberly added that her mum will spend Christmas in the hospital - and that she's looking on the bright side.
She added: "Mum reckons she's in for a nice turkey dinner on Xmas day which is a significant upgrade from what I would have cooked her.
"So there's another silver lining.

"I am always glass half full so I know it will all work out in the end.
"I believe a lot of people will be experiencing an alternative Xmas this year. My thoughts are with you all.

Earlier this week The Sun exclusively revealed that Kimberly is making her Corrie comeback early next year.
She will be seen on screen in March.
