What has Akshay said?
Referring to himself as a man who believes sleeping is a “waste of time” and whose first word as a newborn was "profit", Akshay believes he’s been put on earth to do one thing - and that’s to make money.
Being multilingual, he claims he is able to connect with everyone and anybody, and therefore can “sell anything, to anyone”.
Akshay told the BBC: “My friends call me AK47 because I’m a killer salesperson.”
When is The Apprentice on?
The Apprentice kicked off on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 9pm on BBC One.
The new series will broadcast weekly and will see former winner Tim Campbell join as one of Lord Sugar's aides.
He will stand in for Claude Littner who won't be taking part due to medical reasons.
