One couple - Craig and Lindsay - had purchased a three-bedroom villa in Spain's Andalusia region with the view of renovating it to rent out as a high-end property.

While they were seen soaking up the sun in their hot tub, the couple quickly realised that they would have to move out and head back to the UK to make room for their first paying guests, rather than going off travelling as planned.

Having secured their first booking, Craig and Lindsay realised they had spent more money than they had budgeted for on their renovations.

It meant they would have to return to the UK to replenish their wallets, and Lindsay admitted: "It's not ideal. Leaving the country was not the original plan; the original plan was to go travelling to exciting places, but hey ho."

There was a lot left to do before the guests arrived, and Lindsay left numerous signs around the property with instructions.

The main problems were the water storage and soakaway drains, as well as packing up all their possessions to put into storage while they were back in Blighty.

Lindsay started to stress and said: "The container is filling up quite quickly; I hope we have room for everything..."

Despite Craig then admitting he hadn't checked the list that "the boss" had given him, the couple managed to get everything sorted in time for their guests arriving.

Craig said: "If I was going to give advice to anyone else doing this, and most people say this, double your budget, double your time."

"I was going to say, in Spain, triple your budget, triple your time."

However the renovations cost more than they expected so they had to go home to build up their funds while their first guests stayed at the property
