His showbiz pals had plenty to say about their favourite star Piers returning to the screens, over a year since he sensationally quit ITV over his Meghan Markle row.

They took to Twitter to celebrate his big comeback.

Radio host Lizzie Cundy congratulated that broadcaster and wrote: "Will be watching. 👏👏"

Olympian Iwan Thomas and TV presenter Katie Piper applauded the journalist by posting a string of clapping emojis.

Media personality Summer Monteys-Fullam said: "I can't wait!!!"

Love Island's Amy Hart sent her support, writing: "Sending loads of love to everyone at TalkTV for your launch tonight!"

After tuning in to Piers' Uncensored 60-minute show, she praised him for making her laugh.

Amy wrote: "Are you watching TalkTV? It's giving me American vibes and as you know I love that!

"I know lots of wonderful people behind the scenes, so Sam and I are watching launch night!

"I enjoyed news desk with Tom Newton Dunn and now Piers Morgan is making us chuckle!!"

Sharon Osbourne's hour-long debate show The Talk followed Piers' show.

Five famous faces all from different backgrounds were brought together to debate current affairs issues.

Last night's first episode saw Jeremy Kyle make his TV comeback alongside commentators JJ Anisiobi and Esther Krakue and actress Nicola Thorp.

Taking to Instagram after the show, Sharon wrote: "Did you watch @thetalktv premier tonight? I had a blast, so excited for tomorrow night!"

Piers was quick to congratulate his TalkTV co-star: "Brilliant start Mrs O!"

Sharon replied: "@piersmorgan I would definitely say YOU TOO 💗."

Piers issued an "urgent trigger warning" to "woke snowflakes" as he launched his Uncensored show last night.

He also declared his unfiltered show will be a "no-cancel zone" as it pushes back against cancel culture.

And it aired a sensational exclusive interview with Donald Trump, in which the former US President called Piers a "fool".

Mr Trump said he thinks Prince Harry is "whipped like no person I've ever seen", adding: "I'm not a fan of Meghan and I have been right from the beginning.

"I think poor Harry's being led around by his knees. It will end and it will end bad.

"I wonder if Harry's going to go back on his hands and knees."

He also sensationally called for the Queen to strip Prince Harry and Meghan of their royal titles in the wide-ranging world exclusive interview.

And he gave his biggest hint yet that he could run again in the next Presidential election in 2024, adding: "I think people are going to be very happy."

The pair also spoke about the Ukraine war, with Trump agreeing that Putin has become an "evil, genocidal monster".

He warned that the world is heading for a nuclear war if it is not careful and accused Joe Biden of "kowtowing" to Russia.

Trump even insisted he threatened Putin "like he's never been threatened before".

Piers blamed Trump's refusal to admit defeat in the vote for last year's deadly Capitol riots.

The second part of the interview, which features Trump walking offset, will air tonight from 8pm.

As he closed last night's show, Piers vowed to "uncancel" Sharon Osbourne in an interview with her later this week.

He said: "I will uncancel her so she can go back to where she belongs as the Queen of TV."

Piers was met with praise after his first show with fans all saying the same thing.

Professional boxer Wade Barrett called the show "superb".

Another fan tweeted: "Loving the new show and loved your monologue. Common sense will prevail."

A third said: "No doubt about it, this Trump interview is so far the Television moment of the year so far."
