Game of Thrones star unrecognisable in gothic outfit as she transforms into fashion icon’s sister for new role

GAME of Thrones star Maisie Smith looked unrecognisable as she filmed her new TV series in Paris today.
The 25-year-old has taken on the role of Christian Dior's sister Catherine in The New Look – and was spotted looking sombre all in black.
Looking a far cry from Arya Stark, Maisie wore a fitted black dress, with beret and a veil, while her hair was styled in tight curls.
The Apple TV series also stars Ben Mendelsohn as Christian Dior and Juliette Binoche as Coco Chanel.
It explores the rise of fashion designer Christian Dior, as he dethrones Coco Chanel and helps return spirit and life to the world with his iconic imprint of beauty and influence.
Maisie is best known for playing Arya, the tomboy third child of Ned Stark, in all eight series of Game of Thrones.

Her character went on a horrific journey, having spent half of season five completely blind and halting her mission to get revenge on those who had wronged her family.
However, despite her small stature, she became one of Westeros' most prolific fighters.
She said of the career-making role: “Arya was written as hot-headed and I catch myself in roles jumping straight to being accusatory or angry or upset.
"I’ve felt myself kind of melting away from that, because that isn’t the reality of a lot of people.

"But it was Arya’s reality, and maybe mine, so I do find myself jumping there as if it were my place of comfort.
"I’d love to leave the crying and screaming for a while.”
Since then Maisie has transformed her appearance on numerous occasions and has starred in numerous films and TV shows.
She is now one of the wealthiest actresses in the UK, with an estimated fortune of £4 million.
