Game of Thrones bosses reveals fate of show after House of the Dragon spin-off series
GAME of Thrones fans have been mourning for years following the show's highly debated finale.
With many viewers already clamouring for more, HBO bosses have made it clear that spin-offs of the medieval program will be limited.
More than three years have passed since the destruction of King's Landing, the defeat of the Night King and Daenerys Targaryen's death.
While most Game of Thrones fans still express their disappointment with David Benioff and D.B Weiss, putting them on blast at every opportunity, HBO has already moved on to another project set in the world of George R. R. Martin.
The spin-off show, titled House of the Dragon and featuring Doctor Who and The Crown star Matt Smith will be released on August 21, 2022.
Since it was announced, the Game of Thrones-mania has picked up a new pace and fans are eager to know if they should expect another spin-off.

But they could be disappointed as HBO is seemingly taking things slow - at least, for the moment.
HBO's programming VP Kara Buckley discussed this during a panel named Futurescape: A Look at What's Ahead in TVM at the ATX Television Festival, in Texas, which took place from June 2 to June 5, 2022.
Kara first stated: "We developed a lot of ideas, we were still developing a lot of ideas, and I think we're really excited about the one that will air later this summer."
"But we don't feel the need to make another one unless it feels really creatively exciting to us", she added.

"That's my job, at least. And the team that I'm on, that's what we're told to focus on."
HBO is unlikely to raise any hopes as one spin-off, set 10,000 years before the event of the original series and starring Naomi Watts, was already given the chop.
House of the Dragon was the second show to be suggested, and the first that HBO agreed to pick up.
While he wasn't present in the writing room with David Benioff and D.B Weiss during the last few seasons of Game of Thrones, author George R. R. Martin agreed to give his input for House of the Dragon as an executive producer.

The spin-off series will follow the Targaryen family in Westeros, some 200 years before the events which led to Robert's Rebellion and Jon Snow's secret birth.
The events of House of the Dragon will be based on Martin's 2018 novel Fire & Blood.
