A first trailer for Sky’s political drama This England has been released.

It focuses on the early days of the pandemic, with Kenneth Branagh, 61, starring as the PM and Ophelia Lovibond, 36, as Carrie.

Dramatic scenes show Boris’ fight for his life in hospital when he was struck down with Covid.

Elsewhere rogue right-hand man Dominic Cummings, then-Chancellor Rishi Sunak and former Health Secretary Matt Hancock feature.

• The six-parter will air on Sky Atlantic and NOW on September 21.
