Love Island’s Gemma Owen to appear in new TV reality series featuring lives of footballers’ daughters

SHE has only been out of Love Island for a matter of weeks but Gemma Owen is already being lined up for her next big role.
The Sun can exclusively reveal she is being headhunted as the star of a new TV series being developed by Lime Productions - the makers of Towie and Celebs Go Dating – all about footballers’ daughters.
Gemma, 19, will be in good company, with Paul Gascoigne’s daughter Bianca also being tapped up to take part.
An insider said: “This new series is being billed as a one-of-a-kind show which will reveal what it is really like to be the daughter of a famous football star.
“Lime are developing the concept now and ITV have shown a real interest in it. Gemma is top of their casting wish list.
"Her dad Michael is one of England’s most famous footballing stars and given her huge popularity since she appeared on Love Island – she is the person they want signed up.

“Bianca [Gascoigne] is also on the list and has been approached about appearing.
“The series will follow the women’s daily lives and will look at the highs and lows of being related to a footballer.
“It will see them following their dreams away from the football pitch and will show the barriers they face when trying to make a name for themselves.
“Anyone who thinks being a footballer’s daughter is an easy ride is in for a shock.”

It comes as Gemma's fans are convinced she will announce a big TV deal - after she hinted at an opportunity on the silver screen.
Footballer Michael Owen's daughter admitted she had been "exploring options" when it came to her future career, including "some TV opportunities".
"Aside from that I've just been exploring other options and different things, different brands, some maybe TV opportunities," Gemma confessed.
"Just putting the feelers out, and you know just exploring new things."
Fans of the pair then spotted another "clue" that Gemma and Luca had landed a TV show after they shared a snap together.
The couple shared a picture from inside the UK headquarters of TV and film production company Paramount.
The firm's streaming service, Paramount Plus, screens MTV's The Challenge, and fans think the programme might be the Love Island runners-up's next project.
Writing on a fan forum, one supporter guessed at their next TV job: "I’m guessing it’s The Challenge. From MTV."
Another chimed in: "The Challenge maybe? I think Paramount has that now and Love Island USA people are on it."
