The 49-year-old meditation coach believes in "making mindfulness simple and accessible for all".

He has branded himself the Meditating Actor and has his own website which provides workshops, guided meditations, classes and sports rehabilitation meditation.

The website reads: "His teaching approach offers meditation in a way that makes it fun for people to learn and experience the joy of this moment, right here."

The TV favourite continued: "I started meditating over a decade ago and I’ve felt the positive impact it has had on my life and on those around me.

"Wherever in life we are, each of us will have periods where we feel we are out of step with ourselves, treading water, or even adrift.

"Taking a moment to Pause, Relax, Open, reconnects us with ourselves and the life that is here, right now, all around us.

"That’s why I want to help you get started or deepen your practice by sharing practical tips, techniques, and advice."

The star often takes to social media to share snaps of him looking peaceful and content as he shares his own experiences with meditation.

During his time on the soap, Nigel’s character Dennis was known for his forbidden romance with his adoptive sister Sharon (Letitia Dean).

Just before his character was killed on New Year's Eve, Sharon discovered she was pregnant with Dennis’ child – who she called Dennis in his honour.

She later went on to marry Phil Mitchell, who confessed years later to being the one who killed Dennis.

In January, fans gushed over the actor after seeing him on the telly nearly two decades after he rose to fame.

Nigel shocked fans when he appeared on Loose Women with many commenting on his youthful appearance.

The actor, who has since appeared in Downton Abbey appeared to have barely aged since his iconic stint on Albert Square.

"Nigel Harman has not aged a day. I remember the Dennis days so well. That was Eastenders at its best," one fan wrote on Twitter.
