That's according to behavioural guru Darren Stanton who claims the Bros star revealed his true feelings as the judges voted to save Matt over Kaye Adams.

Speaking on behalf of , Darren said: "Matt kept tapping his heart with his left hand - a gesture he makes a lot. This is to unconsciously convey gratitude or thanks.

"Gracious in defeat, Kaye made sure to embrace Matt on her exit, while he was much more reserved in his reaction - again a sign of the pressure he puts on himself.

"We then saw Matt grip onto his partner’s hand and place his other hand in his pocket while watching Kaye’s final dance.

"Both are moves we make to reassure ourselves when we’re not feeling entirely comfortable in a certain situation - it suggests Matt was still beating himself up internally about being in the bottom two, despite having made it through to next week."

Meanwhile Darren claims there were subtle signs Kaye agreed she should be the one to leave.

He says the Loose Women presenter was too "guarded" to go all the way in the competition - but the result left pro-dancer Kai Widdrington "gutted".

Speaking to The Sun before Strictly, Matt said: “One of my goals of being on Strictly is that the British public get to experience the real me a bit more.

“I’m actually a lot sillier than people think.

“I’ll drop my trousers again if we make it to the final, and Luke says that if we make it to the end he’ll come to watch us in the studio, which is really big for my brother.

“Luke wouldn’t mind me saying he’s not a lover of dance, and since we were kids he was never a big fan of dancing in public.”
