BBC Breakfast viewers rip into ‘amateur’ Jon Kay for ‘silly games’ in middle of show

JON Kay has been slammed by BBC Breakfast viewers for playing "silly games" during the middle of the show.
The 52-year-old journalist was presenting the flagship morning programme alongside co-host Sally Nugent.
During a segment on Ukraine, Jon spoke to BBC journalist in Kyiv, Hugo Bachega.
The seasoned broadcaster delivered a news report on the show last week when several explosions happened in the centre of Ukraine's capital city.
Just over an hour later, after heading to shelter with his camera crew, the BBC re-established contact with Hugo.
Explosions have been reported in other cities across the country, including Lviv, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia, in what appears to be the most widespread set of Russian attacks since the early weeks of the war.

Appearing on the show this morning, Hugo spoke to Jon from the roof of a building and gave the latest updates on the war.
Starting the conversation, Jon asked with a smile on his face: "Hugo, you're back on the roof. Does that mean you’ve got the all clear?"
Those watching at home, however, were left with their head in their hands, with some claiming Jon wasn't taking the segment seriously.
Taking to Twitter, one person penned: "Jon Kay is such an amateur presenter - he faffs about too much instead of getting on with the programme."
Echoing their comments, someone else said: "Is it just me or is Jon Kay seriously painful to watch on BBC Breakfast?"
While a third remarked: "It's like it's all a silly game to Jon Kay..."

It's not the first time that Jon has been ridiculed by viewers.
Earlier this month, the presenter stunned his co-host Sally into silence by cutting her off while she was talking.
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays from 6am on BBC One.
