Shocked BBC viewers are all saying the same about steamy period drama Marie Antoinette

A NEW period drama about Marie Antoinette, the last Queen of France, had BBC Two viewers all saying the same thing.
Fans tuned in to watch the eight-part show's debut - but were horrified by how 14-year-old Marie was treated and threatened to switch off.
She had been sent from Austria to marry the dauphin Louis-Auguste – and forced to strip naked in front of the court who had gathered to watch them undress and get into bed together.
But the awkward teenager says he feels "nothing" for her and turns his back on his new wife.
Marie - played by Emilia Schüle - is then shamed for not consummating the marriage.
One viewer said: Well, this is entirely bizarre."
Another added: "No wonder there was a bloody Revolution. Get out of the bloody room you perverts."
Someone else insisted: "Well, this rigmarole would be a bit of a turn-off."
Another claimed: "What a bizarre custom, no wonder they couldn't get it on."
Someone else said: "Gave up after about 15 minutes. Rubbish."
Marie Antoinette is made by BBC and France’s Canal+ which made Versailles.
It was written by Deborah Davis, who was nominated for an Oscar for writing The Favourite, in which starred Olivia Colman.
