Love Island’s farmer Will reveals how he got place on show after racking up a million followers on TikTok

LOVE Island’s Will Young has spoken out about bagging a place on the hit ITV reality show after becoming a TikTok sensation.
The 23-year-old hunky Buckinghamshire farmer, who is set to swap rolling grasslands for the plains of South Africa from January 16, has herded a million fans on the social media platform after documenting life on the family farm.
After going viral, Will told The Sun about being approached by ITV to take part in the second winter series of the show and how it came down to “a little bit of fate”.
He said: “I was tossing and turning about applying, and then luckily for me, have a little look in the DMs, and ITV casting was in there. So, it’s all a little bit of fate.
“I texted back immediately and popped on the Zoom.”
As well as this, he also spoke about the time when he slid into the DM’s of Birmingham rapper Lady Leshurr.
“I did a TikTok using her song and a little lamb in the bag, and she loved it.
“[She] DM’d me and was like, this is great.”
“She was supposed to come to the farm during lambing, and we were going to do some filming, but it fell through, sadly.”
The countryman has already welcomed one famous face to his farm, which surfaced in a recent TikTok video.
Strictly Come Dancing’s Claudia Winkleman, 50, could be seen on the property donning blue Head & Shoulders-branded wellies whilst she plugs a bottle of the brand’s shampoo.
Later, the Love Island singleton is sitting on a bench, wearing nothing but black shorts, as the presenter chucks a bucket of water over his head.
Will is always ditching his top and letting his toned body and bronze glow shine as he does various tasks, including sheering sheep and building pig pens.
