Eastenders star Jessie Wallace set to marry for first time after engagement to carpenter boyfriend
EASTENDERS star Jessie Wallace has got engaged — and is set to marry for the first time.
Jessie, 51 — who plays Kat Slater in the BBC soap — and carpenter boyfriend Justin Gallwey, 50, are now getting hitched after at least a year together.
Our exclusive photograph shows the actress wearing an engagement ring as she nipped to a shop near her North London home.
It comes after handyman Justin has been helping her battle booze demons.
Last summer she was cautioned after allegedly kneeing a cop in the crotch and calling him a “fat c***” on a drunken night out in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Justin told The Sun on Sunday: “I just want to protect her. Everything is happy and things are good.”

Jessie has had a string of boyfriends over the years but never married.
She was set to get hitched at a £300,000 star-studded ceremony in 2011 to fiance Vincent Morse before it was called off at the last minute.
But she is said to have told pals she is ready to settle down with Justin and marry.
A source said: “Jessie has been proudly wearing the ring.”
