Waterloo Road fans horrified by grisly stabbing scene as BBC reboot takes seriously dark turn

WATERLOO Road fans were left horrified after Danny Lewis stabbed his mum's violent boyfriend in shock scenes last night.
The BBC One school drama took a very dark turn when an aggressive fight broke out between the schoolkid and Vinnie McCullen on the school grounds.
Vinnie had been hounding the youngster to repay a sum of cash for weeks and went to his school to threaten him.
The distressing scenes showed Danny being brutally beaten up.
Vinnie punched the teen in the face leaving him a bloodied nose and then proceeded to chase him through the corridor.
Vinnie threatened to throw Danny over the school railing and down the stairs.
Terrified Danny then pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the stomach as he collapsed to ground.
Just moments after, music teacher Valerie appears and sees Danny holding the knife and standing over his body, he then drops the knife and flees the scene.
The jaw-dropping moment shocked fans and many raced to share their reaction.
One wrote: "Danny stabbing Vinnie was not what I expected. on Waterloo Road."
Another posted: "Danny has stabbed Vinny! #WaterlooRoad," alongside a shocked emoji.
"Oh no. Why, Danny, why? There's no going back from this now," a third said.
The paramedics arrived and said the Vinnie was still breathing but in a critical condition.
Later in the episode, Danny was seen panicking as the enormity of what had happened dawned on him.
During an emotional scene with headteacher Kim Campbell (Angela Griffin) Danny sobbed and said: "He came after me, Vinnie.
"Miss, you have done all that you could to change where I was going but you can't change where I come from and that is always going to follow me."
The police then arrived to arrest the young lad.
