Deborah Meaden reveals how Dragons’ Den is really filmed in rare tweets – including gruelling length of BBC pitches

DEBORAH Meaden has revealed how Dragons' Den is really filmed in rare tweets - including the gruelling length of BBC pitches.
Deborah, 64, joined the show in 2006 and is the shows second longest-serving Dragon behind Peter Jones.
During her time on Dragons' Den, Deborah has seen hundreds of budding entrepreneurs pitch for investment in their business.
During last night's episode, Deborah tweeted along with the latest batch of business men and women who entered the Den, and revealed behind-the-scenes details of filming too.
One fan asked: "One thing I've always wondered. When the pitches are taking place how long can they really take rather than the edited version we see on TV?"
Deborah replied: "the longest I have seen is 3 1/2 hours!!"

A former business owner who had been on the show also replied: "Mine was about 1 1/2 hrs and I enjoyed every minute."
Meanwhile another viewer asked: "Deborah. Do the dragons have they’re own team of advisers there that they consult with or is it just the dragons making the decisions?"
She responded: "What you see is real… just us and our money."
Deborah was clearly having fun on Twitter as she tweeted along to the episode, as she also hopped into a conversation between viewers.

One had wrote in reply to another: "It's the best and one thing I always wonder why do they always have to wear the same clothes."
Deborah replied: "Because they are filmed across 20 days and not shown in order."
Dragons' Den airs Thursdays at 8pm on BBC One.
