A Place in the Sun fans gutted as Channel 4 show replaced by new series

A PLACE in the Sun has disappeared from the Channel 4 schedule this week - with a new series taking its place.
The long-running property series, hosted by the likes of Laura Hamilton and Jasmine Harman, wrapped its latest series last week and has been replaced by new TV show Tool Club.
Tool Club is hosted by Kevin Duala, who leads a team of three as they take on DIY projects that have gone wrong.
The programme corrects both major and small scale mistakes, while also providing viewers with helpful hints and hacks.
The first episode of Tool Club aired back in 2021, however the first series has only just started airing on Channel 4.
The first episode premiered on Monday 20th, and the remaining 14 episodes will be broadcast each weekday at 3pm.

While A Place in the Sun will not be returning to it's usual slot on Channel 4 - there is a new spin-off show, A New Life in the Sun airing this week.
The new show follows British expats as they build new lives and businesses in hot countries around the world.
It's unclear whether A Place in the Sun will return to Channel 4 after Tool Club has aired, or if another show will temporarily take its place.
Fans of the show were disappointed with the change and took to Twitter to vent their frustration, with one writing: "Omg where is A Place in the Sun!?"

While a third complained: "Why have you removed A Place in the Sun? That was probably the only show I still bothered watching. Ergh."
Channel 4 said of the latest schedule switch:“The most recent series of A Place In The Sun has finished but viewers can enjoy a brilliant new show, Tool Club.
"A Place In The Sun will return to screens in April or can be enjoyed on 4seven every day before then.”
