EAMONN Holmes has waded in on the This Morning feud as he called co-stars Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield "a broken fit".

The former ITV star hit out about the partnership as he discussed his former pal's fallout on his GB News show last night.

Eamonn, 63, made a savage quip over Holly, 42, and Phil, 61, appearing on TV together at the BAFTA awards last night, as the pair failed to attend.

Ripping into the pair, he said: "There should have been a special award for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for best actors.

"They may or may not be together on the telly today.

"The public surely will suss that there's no chemistry, that it's a broken fit between the two of them and that This Morning does not depend on who presents it."

Eamonn continued to hit out that This Morning will "carry no matter who presents it", after fans called for Phillip to QUIT.

GB News host Eamonn had been at the front of the ITV show alongside his wife Ruth Langsford from 2006 to 2021.

The star was "dropped" by ITV when Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary were called in to present on Fridays.

The former colleagues appeared together on the show in 2020 when Phillip and Holly discussed his statement about his sexuality, before being joined by a supportive Eamonn and Ruth.

Last night, BAFTA TV Awards hosts Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan also didn’t hold back with the feuding pair.

They made a brutal dig at Holly and Phil amid the ongoing drama behind-the-scenes at This Morning.

Bringing up a past scandal the This Morning presenters were embroiled in, Rob said he was looking forward to the next series of The Crown

“Holly and Phil probably got early access to the episodes,” the comic added, to which the audience erupted in awkward laughter.

The Sun reported yesterday how Holly has "cut ties" with her This Morning co-star of 14 years - and could be "too upset" to star on This Morning.

It's understood Holly is "devastated" over the move but was left blindsided when Phil, 61, released a statement on their feud without consulting her.

The friendship breakdown - which has seen Holly looking glum off-screen - comes after The Sun first reported how the TV stars' relationship was under strain.

A spokesperson for This Morning previously refused to confirm whether Phillip would be on the programme today.

Peace talks that were to be held between Holly and Phil have been cancelled.

Holly has made it clear to the broadcaster that she would host This Morning without Phil if he left, insisting they were “separate entities”.
