I made The Apprentice semi-final – but here’s why I decided to close my successful business

THE APPRENTICE star Megan Hornby has revealed she has had to close her successful sweet shop business.
Earlier this year, viewers saw fan favourite Megan Hornby just miss out on the grand final when she became the third of the final five to be fired.
As well as narrowly missing out on winning a massive £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar, it has now been revealed that Megan's sweet shop in Hull has closed its doors.
She had opened The Candy Shop during lockdown selling sweets, cakes and milkshakes and it was a huge success at first.
After filming the BBC One show, Megan, 26, even went to Hull Council to ask for a drink’s license to convert The Candy Shop into a cocktail bar - saying she needed to adapt to the market in order to stay open.
But despite the license being granted, she has still decided to shut down the business, as she feels the venture is not her "life long dream".

Speaking to , Megan explained: "I came out of The Apprentice house and obviously, it completely changed my life. It changed who I was as a person, it changed my perspective on business, on everything.
"And when I came out of it, and had that battle between me, Marnie and Rochelle, I realised I'm sitting with these two really wonderful, articulate, beautiful women, who are passionate about their businesses because it's what they absolutely love.
"I fought tooth and nail because that was my killer instinct and the competitiveness in me, but I wasn't fighting for it because it's my lifelong dream.
"It's not a dream come true for me, my business. It's something that I started during lockdown because I was smart, not because it was a dream come true.”
