LOVE Island fans have been left furious after Paige Thorne revealed the "real reason" she quit her "normal job" after finding fame.
Paige, 25, may have shot to fame on the ITV2 show last year, gaining millions of followers and a six-figure deal with clothing brand, Forever Unique.
But, having trained tirelessly to become a paramedic before Love Island, she had every intention to return to her profession.
The influencer even told fans at the time she was "super excited" for her first shift back and posted a video in her uniform.
But Paige has now claimed on the podcast that she was snubbed by the NHS upon flying back from Majorca.
She said, "I was like, 'I'll go back to being a paramedic,' but my job was like, 'Don't really want you to do that cos you post pictures in bikinis.'

"I was so upset, I worked really hard to be a paramedic, it was so much training and I worked three years before that, Covid, did it all and they were like, 'Actually, thanks but no thanks.'"
Listeners were left raging and soon took to Reddit where they blasted the decision for Paige to be laid off.
One wrote, "The NHS is in a dire state and could use all the paramedics and help they can get — but they’re forcing people to quit over bikini pics? So incredibly unserious. This actually pisses me off a bit."
Another added, "The ambulance waiting time is getting worse and they are laying off well trained staff for what is there on their Instagram account? They could have just asked her to keep her insta PG if it was an issue but laying her off over it seems ridiculous."

A third fumed, "This IS misogyny because Alex George from the previous seasons went back to his job as an NHS doctor for several years and nobody had anything to say about it. The ambulance waiting times are longer than ever and this is where their priorities lie?"
One more agreed, "This is ridiculous! When I call an ambulance I don’t care what the paramedic posts on social media. All I care about that they’re good at their job."
Paige coupled up with returning Islander Adam Collard last year, but the couple - who reached fifth place - split just months after leaving the villa.
